  Best and most reliable food place on 9th Street. I definitely recommend this to any students or if you’re new to the Durham area. Owner is really friendly and nice.

  Delicious food, great owner & staff. I’m always trying something different, along with my solid favorites and I’m never disappointed. Large menu selection, great for game night, family night, movie night, homecoming, celebrations… anything. 10/10

  I had such a great experience at this pizza place! The atmosphere was warm and inviting — perfect for hanging out with friends or family. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. And the pizza… wow. A massive 29 inches of pure perfection! The crust was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of flavor. You could really tell it was made fresh. Definitely one of the best pizza spots around — I’ll be coming back for sure!

  We like to try different places to eat when we go to the Cancer Center at Duke. Tonight (11/3/25) it was Devil’s NY Pizzeria & Restaurant. It was definitely a good call to eat there! Everyone was super friendly and attentive. Right from the start, after they took our order, when I tried to get waters from the beverage coolers, someone came out and told me, “No, I’ll get it, go ahead and sit down and I’ll bring it to you”. Nice. We ordered fried mushrooms (small order) and they were piping hot. The ranch dressing was perfect as it was nice and thick compared the usual thin and runny one can get elsewhere. The small order of shrooms were more than other place’s regular size. And they were pretty cheap too - $4.99 if I remember correctly. We ordered their 14’ supreme pizza. It was awesome! I’m from up north and it made me think of all the places we’d eat pie from. Everything was good about it. The pizza was cooked right! Even the green peppers were cooked correctly - firm, but *not* crunchy. The sauce was as good as it gets as was the cheese. The crust, words cannot even describe! The restaurant is thin, but long. One enters the restaurant and immediately to the left is the order/pick up window. Next there are big beverage coolers. Then there’s the seating area. The seating area was typical New York. Small tables, chairs; on each table there is shake cheese, shake red pepper, oregano, garlic, pepper and salt, napkins and a pizza stand. Nothing fancy. You eat off paper plates and sturdy plastic utensils. There is big hand sanitizer jugs on each table. Again, so New York. It’s actually surprising how well New Yorkers can cram so much in a small area. Like I said, the workers were very friendly and attentive. They came out and checked on us regularly. I dare say we received better service than most other places we dine at with dedicated waitstaff. It’s nice to get a northern/New York type of experience in little Durham. We will definitely return again.

  I have been frequenting this Amazing spot for 11 years now...I moved from NY and it takes me back to little Italy, the food is always delicious and there is plenty to choose from as well. The staff has always been curtious polite and attentive to me and my family as customers. I would recommend this spot 10 times out of 10...you won't regret it and neither will your family once they taste just how good it is.... trust me its worth it. Zack
