Wow this place was soooo busy, but they got my order out in a reasonable amount of time and they had 11, yes ELEVEN Employees working at the same time!!! I haven’t ever seen so many employees in any smoothie place like this! Everyone was very friendly too! Even the manager was making smoothies!

The owners need a better system for handling orders! I would hate to see this place go out of business eventually because they don't know how to handle orders. Made my smoothie online waited 30 min and asked them to give me my money back as they didn't even start making my order. This place is chaotic they need a screen to show all orders. To the owners i highly suggest you to read books on how to control work in progress etc.

I’ve only been coming to Tropical Smoothie for the past 4 days, and I’m already done with this location because the quality control and customer service are unacceptable. First issue (yesterday): I picked up a smoothie I’ve been ordering consistently, and it was visibly wrong. I add dragon fruit, and I know the color is supposed to be a bright/hot pink. Instead, it was a pale peach color. When I pointed it out, it felt like the solution was basically to “patch” it—like they just tossed it back in, added dragon fruit, and poured it right back into the cup as if everything else had been made correctly. But the smoothie was still missing ingredients (for example, I could tell there was no ginger). The bigger problem is that it was clear the ticket wasn’t being followed closely the first time. Second issue (today): Today I ordered online again, trying a different smoothie because I planned for it to be a meal replacement: the Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein smoothie. I did not add any extra sugar. I expected something that tasted like peanut butter, chocolate, and maybe a little banana—more “protein smoothie,” less “dessert.” Instead, I got a mouthful of overwhelming sweetness. Since I’m still new to ordering here, I called the store calmly to ask what I should request to avoid it being so sweet (for example, should I ask for extra peanut butter, less sweetener, etc.). The woman I spoke with on the phone was polite and helpful, and I appreciate that. But when I came into the store, a male employee was rude, dry, and visibly disrespectful (literally talking to me with his lip turned up before I even started talking to him). Rather than simply answering my question or offering solutions, he kept bringing up yesterday in a way that felt messy and confrontational—like he was trying to create an argument and “prove” there was a problem with me as a customer, instead of focusing on fixing the issue. To be crystal clear: I did not raise my voice. I did not use profanity. I was not rude or disrespectful. I was simply a paying customer asking for my order to be made correctly and asking how to customize it to avoid added sweetness. What’s especially frustrating is that I did not come in looking for conflict. I came in because I simply wanted my smoothie made correctly so I could enjoy it and go about my day. Instead, this situation cost me an additional 20–25 minutes — time I genuinely did not have to spare while preparing for something work-related. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult for staff to recognize that when a customer calmly points out an issue, they are not “coming in on 10” — they just want their order made right. At one point it was basically implied the sweetness is “normal” because sugar is added automatically, which is exactly the kind of information that should be clearly communicated upfront—especially when customers are ordering something marketed as a protein smoothie. If sugar/sweetener is default in that drink, customers should be told how to request it without that. What should have happened today was simple: “Here are the options to reduce sweetness (no turbinado/sweetener, less base, add peanut butter/protein, etc.). No problem—we can remake it.” That’s it. No attitude. No rehashing yesterday. No attempt to turn it into drama. This location has shown me in two days that they aren’t consistently reading tickets, aren’t consistent with ingredients, and at least one employee is comfortable being disrespectful to a calm customer. This is not a place committed to getting your order right or ensuring you have a good experience in general. I have no plans to return to this particular store, which is disappointing because it’s the closest one to me. The way I was handled today was unacceptable.
