  Never giving this place my time and money ever again. I was on a time crunch which is my own problem. But there was one poor worker in there with zero help. I waited in line for over 10 mins with zero moment in the line and no one even coming to the register to greet the person waiting to be serviced before me. It looked like the worker was getting the online orders situated. I had to end up leaving and ordering my meal for delivery which unfortunately was absolutely wrong. If there was anyone else working besides the one they never showed themselves. I feel terrible for him being alone and having to handle the load if that was indeed the case but perhaps close for the day if your so short staffed vs losing customers.

  I love the bowls here! Just wondering if the pineapples are not in season?! I don’t like the canned ones in my fresh fruit bowls

  I placed a mobile order and waited for almost 10 minutes for one of the two people behind the counter to even acknowledge that me and another lady who hadn’t even placed her order yet but she had gotten there before me were even there. they had their backs turned to us The whole time didn’t even greet us to say hello or I’ll be there in one second. and my mobile order was ready the whole time I could see it behind the counter, but I couldn’t get either one of them to pay me any attention to get it.

  Food is always wrong or not acceptable. There is always a wait for sub par food and a chunky smoothie. I will never visit this location, the Gastonia one is always much much better and worth the extra drive.

  Terrible customer service and the smoothies were terrible. The lady that identified herself as the manager was the one who made my smoothies- from the moment I walked in, there seemed to be a problem. She had a terrible le attitude, but I thought she was just having a bad day. I had a $50 bill and with an attitude she barked that there was a sign at the door that said they can’t take anything higher than $20). So I pulled the only $20 bill I had. I’m not sure if it was because I couldn’t leave them a tip or she simply wanted to make me have a bad experience. She then went back to making the smoothies, served the people in front of me, did a doordash order, then stepped out to the delivery area to drop it off, then went outside for a few minutes and then came back to finally start on our smoothies. 16 minutes after I placed my order, she came and slammed the 3/4 full styro foam cups (which is already not ok- but i didn’t say anything). I grabbed them and when I tried mine… I knew it was made wrong (my husband and I get smoothies from here pretty frequently and know what to expect). Well… that wasn’t it, I let him try it- and he said this is terrible (we paid 19.85 - the minimum we want is a good tasting product even if made with a bad attitude). He went inside and the lady met him with a WHATS wrong? He tried to explain but she started to raise her voice. When he pointed out her bad attitude, her response was “well this is how I talk”. So we just requested our money back, bc at that point she was either going to take another 20 minutes on purpose or Lord knows do what to our smoothies. Keep in mind all this is happening while my husband and I are trying to shuffle between taking care of our 6month old that is with us. If you are the owner of this location- my recommendation as a business owner myself, is replace your staff- especially your so called manager. She should not be handling food or customers. Definitely a liability and a terrible representation of the Tropical Smoothie Cafe brand. We will also be reaching out to head office, to let them know of how their brand is being represented. This happened 04/01/26 at approx 1:30pm and we left your store by 2:00pm empty handed- 30 minutes wasted and no smoothies but a terrible taste in our mouth… literally.
