I asked for cash back, and she immediately rolled her eyes and began slamming the register because she was out of change. I calmly told her it was okay and that I didn’t mind waiting, but her attitude didn’t improve. Whether she was having a bad day or this is her normal demeanor, the behavior was unprofessional and made for a very uncomfortable customer experience. Employees in customer-facing roles should treat people with basic respect. I hope management addresses this, because that kind of atmosphere is not acceptable.
