About

RestaurantCocktail Lounge
The Cellar at Duckworth's combines gastropub fare from our chef-driven menu, with a tap list of specialty and rare beers served at appropriate temperatures to their styles, and signature cocktails that are handcrafted to order by our mixologists. Inspired by an era of time that's long past, the underground space built originally in 1912, naturally has a speakeasy-prohibition-era feel with its original brick walls and exposed ceiling joists. Even our attentive staff dresses the part from the era. We hope to take you back in time for a bit while enjoying good food and drink with friends and family.

My wife and I went here celebrating ( belatedly) my birthday and Valentines day. Service was top notch! Food was fantastic and I had a smoked whiskey sour that was great! Wonderful speak easy atmosphere. It was loud due to the small space but otherwise we had a wonderful time! We will be back next time we are in town. Definitely make a reservation. Place was hopping!

Ordered their Ribeye via delivery. The temperature I ordered was rare, And the steak showed up pretty much medium well with very little flavor extremely dry. I've been to this restaurant in person. The service is great. Staff is great. Food is very good too. Just would not recommend ordering their food for takeout or delivery.

I would love to have experience this place to give a proper review but after I received a call 3 days before my reservation stating that they are canceling it I will pass. I booked a table for 1 for Valentine’s Day and they called and told me it has to be a minimum of two guests to dine in that day. I booked the reservation using the link on their site 2 weeks prior and nowhere did it say that. So they don’t call as soon as I book it. They waited till the last minute. Not everyone has a partner and not everyone is able to be with their partner if they do have one. I was very offended because my spouse passed away a few years back. On special days like this I take myself out to a new place to remind myself that self love is the best love and it will come around again.

This is the very first bad review I have left on google and I still tried to be fair, as I have had dinner there before and the food and atmosphere were great. However, I am giving one star for the service, hoping the manager can see the post, as I was not able to talk to him/her on the phone. Manager, please have someone more patient, less defensive to answer the phone calls, especially answering questions about big party reservations. I called on Monday at 4pm for a reservation for Thursday for a group of 10. I tried to avoid calling at busy time, so I called at 4pm. The staff was nice, she got my name my phone number. I was told I would get a phone call later to confirm my reservation after manager approval, which I totally understood. I didn’t get a call that night, so I called back again at 4pm on Tuesday for an update, and was trying to let the person know I was following up with my reservation request yesterday. I totally understood you might be busy. And I was afraid you didn’t get my phone number right. Again, I was not mad or anything, just a follow up and to confirm if we can have the reservation. TBH, I didn’t even know it was the same staff until she told me. She told me they were busy, I said it’s totally fine I understood. She also said “you called yesterday, it’s not enough time for them to confirm”. Okay. Then I asked again if we can make the reservation, she just went off, telling me that “there is a process I need to input your information and you just kept talking, and didn’t give me a chance to ask for your information”. I was like okay, I’m sorry. Then I was asked to leave a credit card on file, which I also have expected. However since we may have 9 or 10 people, I asked if the card would be charged for no show fee if didn’t have the exact number of party show up. She just went off again, accusing me not following the process. At that point, I told her, it’s okay, I understand everyone has a bad day, but there was no reason to talk like that. I was trying to give her an excuse, but she was so entitled, saying she didn’t have a bad day, it was me not understanding the process, though I just asked questions, didn’t say no or anything! Since it sounds like we have trouble communicating with each other, I asked to speak to her manager or at least a different person, then I got hung up. I called back, it was a different staff, but her friend for sure. Manager, I wouldn’t be surprised if both told you I was the rude one or I was being difficult. The rest of my day was completely ruined. I told them I will not make the reservation, I just need to talk to the manager. They said the manager was in the meeting. I asked for their names, and of course they didn’t tell me. They hung up my call again. That’s why this long post is here…
