The Cellar at Duckworth's combines gastropub fare from our chef-driven menu, with a tap list of specialty and rare beers served at appropriate temperatures to their styles, and signature cocktails that are handcrafted to order by our mixologists. Inspired by an era of time that's long past, the underground space built originally in 1912, naturally has a speakeasy-prohibition-era feel with its original brick walls and exposed ceiling joists. Even our attentive staff dresses the part from the era. We hope to take you back in time for a bit while enjoying good food and drink with friends and family.

Hidden gem, and it was great from first moment to last. Big drinks and food menu, prepared happily and precisely by a tremendous caring team. This is how you do it - go see for yourself!

Honestly a middle of the road restaurant charging way too much. It's gets pretty loud in there (how the room is built, not sure how much control there the restaurant has,) the food items a bit overpriced for what they are, they had a beer list on a blinding iPad when the room is dimly lit.
We also mentioned it was our anniversary (in the reservation and small talk with the hostess) and they sat us by the hallway where wait staff are coming in and out so my view was the restaurant POS system, the soda machine, and their additional bright lighting.
This place is talked up a lot and I think for a special night out money could be spent better elsewhere but for a few drinks and apps, and a large group of friends it's fine.

Perfect for a date night. Very moody lighting. That awesome smell of smoked whiskey inside. The FOOD. My god the food is so good. Great service and very knowledgeable recommendations for drinks or meal options. Worth every penny spent here and we WILL be putting this place in our date night rotation.

I visited this restaurant last night to celebrate my anniversary, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Shortly after returning home, I became extremely ill and experienced food poisoning symptoms, including vomiting. It was a very unpleasant way to end what was meant to be a special evening. I hope the restaurant reviews its food safety and quality control measures to prevent this from happening to others.
Update: It has now been a week since the restaurant replied to my review, and no one has reached out to address any of my concerns. The public response was very kind, but unfortunately nothing followed.

A group of us visited The Cellar on 10/03. We’ve dined here several times and usually enjoy it, but this visit was deeply disappointing - enough to make us reconsider our fine dining options downtown.
We were seated quickly, but service was slow from the start. It took about 15 minutes for the first round ofdrinks, another 5 for our server to return, and a long gap before our entrées arrived - around 35 minutes after ordering. The appetizers did hit quickly though.
I ordered the dry-aged strip, which arrived nearly blue in the middle. The server offered to re-fire it, which I was hesitant about given the toughness of the crust but decided to trust their process. When it came back, it was so overcooked and dry it was barely edible. After flagging down staff again, the manager apologized and offered to cook a new one. The third attempt, which arrived about 20 minutes later, after everyone else had finished, was finally excellent.
By the time we received our check, over two hours had passed, and we were late for our show. However, what stung most wasn’t just the slow, uneven service but the lack of any gesture of apology or comp for the inconvenience. For a restaurant of this caliber, that’s surprising and disappointing.
