  Haven't been to PB in ages, but I decided to go today because I have a gift card to use. The last time I visited was more than 6 months ago at Northlake Mall, and finally realized that the Panera vibe is nothing more than expensive hospital food, which is why I stopped going. Today was a tad different. I ordered the Southwest salad, "whole," which I assumed would be a large salad; extra dressing and no tomatoes, with chips and a large beverage. The size of the salad in the plastic container felt and looked small. It felt like I was getting a typical shrinkflation salad, which isn't entirely an untruth. They correctly took off the tomatoes, which is sort of an embarrassment these days to applaud for correct orders, and the 'extra dressing,' seemed like the few lines of 'southwest sauce' was enough. I don't feel that I received extra ranch dressing. The two cups provided were barely enough for what I assumed would come with the meal, and if you turned the cups sideways, you'd see that they were 1mm in depth (sarcasm, but precise). They could use some focus on restocking and cleanliness, but they quickly did this after I received my order. The cups of ranch were too thick, more like a thick, gelatin ointment for your face, so it wasn't spreadable at all. They could and SHOULD dilute this formulation to make it easier to drizzle and spread around the salad. For the inside, there's scarce places to eat, considering students and others taken up the tables and such, so be advised that you may have to eat in your car, or outside. All-in-all, the meal was surprisingly filling. I hadn't eaten anything all day up until 3PM, which is when I visited Panera, and it was filling. However, it wasn't tasty, appetizing or delicious. It lacked all flavor and tasted... infirmary.

  The consistency is off. Went to Panera bread across town and ordered their creamy chicken and wild rice soup. It was delicious, very creamy. It was so good I ordered another bowl at the one on kings drive on my way home. However; I was not pleased. It was runny/like water not creamy at all. This was my first time trying the creamy chicken and wild rice soup. But; I’m not sure how it’s really supposed to be. Creamy or soupy??
