I have been here a handful of times the food is incredible my favorite place in charlotte! The service is even better than the food, staff is very attentive especially because I have food allergies and they are very accommodating. Jordan was kind and helpful, he made sure our experience was top tier. The entire staff is amazing though, you cannot go wrong in any night and any shift at Oak steakhouse!

I can’t believe I haven’t left a review until now, 5 times here and it’s somehow better every time. The atmosphere, the service, THE FOOD! Everything is always top tier. Jordan was phenomenal today, but we’ve never had a bad experience. We came here to celebrate my birthday and were greeted with a birthday card from the staff. Little things like that set Oak apart from other places. The food is always cooked perfectly, they take extra care for my wife’s many allergies, and the drinks are always unique and well thought out. There’s no shortage of great things I can say about this place. Come in and try for yourself, you cannot be disappointed!!

Classy restaurant you say!!?? I had a member of the kitchen staff (identified by his hat) use the urinal and walk out without washing his hands. The entire experience was ruined in spite of good steaks and sides. Why!!??

Terrible, stay away!!!
We went with a group of 4 on New Year’s Eve. The service was unbelievably slow from start to finish, with long waits between every course and no communication about what was going on. Seated at 9:15 and didn’t get our wine for about 30 minutes. We saw it sitting behind our table the whole time. Waitress was polite but moved at comically glacial speed. To make matters worse, 3 steak knives were dropped on the ground and nearly hit my friend’s foot—no real apology, just awkwardly moved on like it didn’t happen.
When the food finally arrived, 2 out of the 4 steaks were very undercooked (almost raw), not even close to what was ordered. At that point we were already exhausted from waiting and didn’t even trust that sending them back would help. The broccolini was awful and most of the food was mediocre at best. My filet was good though!
The confusion continued when our waitress told us to go to the bar for drinks after dinner to toast at midnight. Three other tables were there and hadnt gotten their food yet so we were assured it would not be a bother to stay for a night cap. However, the bartender ignored us and then rudely to told us the bar was closed. This would have been okay except the waitress just sent us there. It felt disorganized and careless all around. And I don’t know why he was so rude when we were politely asking for a drink.
For a steakhouse, this was a huge disappointment. Slow service, unsafe moments, poorly cooked food, and mixed messages from staff made this an experience I won’t be repeating. Charlotte has so many wonderful steak houses. We walked away with a $800 bill and a lot of disappointment.

I recently had my first dinner at Oak Steakhouse in Charlotte, and it was an absolute standout from start to finish!
The highlight of the night was the steak tartare, which they prepared tableside. It was perfectly seasoned and incredibly fresh—watching the process really added to the experience. For the main, the steak frites was executed beautifully; the steak was tender and topped with a rich, velvety butter that paired perfectly with the crispy, parmesan-dusted fries. My table also shared several sides, and you can’t go wrong with any of them. The Brussels sprouts had a great char and tang from the pickled onions, the mac and cheese was decadently bubbly and golden, and the mashed potatoes were exquisite. If you're looking for a top-tier steakhouse experience in the Queen City with great service and an even better menu, this is it. I’ll definitely be back!
