  Nothing is more southern than pot roast, mashed potatoes and gravy and a side of buttered corn......and Mattie's Diner provided a flavorful reminder. There butter had just the right amount of corn added to it. 😉 The mashed potatoes were creamy and served hot and fresh. I really loved the gravy.  Beefy tasting. The main attraction, the pot roast of course, was very tender. Of course I asked for a side of gravy to pour on top.   It's like a time machine... But, with awesome vegan options for just about everything! Would give 10 stars if I could. Probably going to go back again tonight!

  Great place, felt like I had stepped into a NJ diner. Friendly staff, prompt service and a really fun atmosphere. Has the best pattie melt; flavorful, juicy, but not greasy. The beer batter onion rings were amazing, and the chicken fried chicken was delicious with their sawmill gravy. Will be coming back again soon!
