Anyone who gives a 1-star rating for food quality is simply lying! I’m a first-time Jamaican food enthusiast, and I’m absolutely smitten. I’m already planning my way back with my girlfriend to get another plate of this delicious food.

Over the last few months I’ve tried this location three different times because the jerk chicken wings were amazing on my first visit. Unfortunately every visit after that has been frustrating.
First visit: The lady at the register was snippy when I asked questions about the menu, but the wings were excellent. The shrimp curry, however, lacked flavor.
Second visit: I was told there was no chef and they couldn’t make wings. I ordered the only item available for my wife, then drove to their other location—only to be told again there was no chef. I ended up getting wings next door instead, which were great.
Third visit (today): I went in around 1:50 PM and was told I couldn’t get wings because there was no chef. They told me to come back in 30 minutes. When I returned 45–50 minutes later, a different staff member came out and again told me there was no chef.
At this point it seems like they’re serving limited food without a chef on site, which would explain why the last meal we ordered tasted off—likely reheated or from the previous day.
If you’re coming here specifically for wings or fresh food, call ahead. The pattern of “NO CHEF” has happened on three separate visits now, and it makes it impossible to rely on this place despite how good the wings are when they actually have staff.

I’ve been a patron of this restaurant for over a year, but after today I’ve decided to take my money elsewhere. For the past few orders I’ve placed through the app escovitch snapper is always available. After I place the order, I then get a call that there is no snapper. This has been a recurring thing, but I decided to give grace. Today, I called to see if they had the snapper ahead of time and I was told they did, therefore when I got off the phone I placed the order. Literally TEN minutes after I just spoke to one of the employees, I received a phone call from another employee and am told there isn’t any snapper. I explained to the employee that I had just spoken to someone who told me that snapper was available. I then proceeded to ask for a refund for the Snapper meal, but I was told that the only way I could get a refund is by canceling the whole order. Of note, I utilized reward points ( since I support this business often ) for the snapper meal. I’m now wondering if they conveniently “run out of snapper“ whenever someone is trying to use reward points. I don’t utilize reward points often, but I’m wondering if this is a driving factor. If you don’t want your patrons to utilize rewards on whole meals, then you shouldn’t offer that option. I Asked the employee if I would receive my reward points back since I’m no longer getting the snapper and she said “I don’t know. I don’t know how to work this point system thing”. We will see if they actually end up refunding the money that was utilized to pay for the jerk chicken plate. Currently, the reward points have not been credited back to my account..
