And the fries were overcooked. It was a very disappointing experience. I used to love 5 guys but I definitely won't be returning, at least not to this one. The peanuts were the highlight of the meal, and of course those are free.

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
