However, my most recent visit for lunch was very disappointing. I ordered the Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad online around 10:30–10:40 AM, fully aware that the restaurant didn’t open until 11:00. The system estimated my pickup time between 11:30–11:50 AM, so I planned accordingly. I arrived around 11:46, before receiving any “ready for pickup” notification, and was told my order wasn’t ready. A minute later, the hostess handed me a to-go bag that had clearly been sitting out for some time. When I got back to my office, the salad was completely soggy — from the lettuce to the crispy onions — everything was drenched in dressing and unappetizing. I returned to the restaurant to request a refund and was told it was likely because I was “late picking up the order.” The hostess explained it had been sitting at the stand since it was the first order of the day, yet I never received any notification that it was ready early. After expressing my concerns about the miscommunication between the ordering platform, staff, and kitchen, the manager mentioned that their Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad “just isn’t a good salad.” That was surprising to hear, considering it’s a menu item. Instead of refunding me, they offered to remake the salad — but what I received was a completely different item (a basic grilled chicken salad), not what I originally ordered. Overall, this was not a good experience. While I’ve had positive visits in the past, the lack of communication, poor food quality, and dismissive handling of feedback were disappointing. I truly hope Duckworth’s takes this as constructive feedback to improve their menu consistency and preparation quality. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend the Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad at this time.
