We visited Los Caminos as a family (two adults, two children and a relative) around 2:00 PM, and the restaurant was nearly empty. Unfortunately, our first impression was not pleasant. The hostess looked us up and down and initially seated us right next to the kitchen despite most tables being available. the hostess’s demeanor felt dismissive and unwelcoming.
After requesting a different table twice, we were moved to a better area, which we appreciated.
That being said, the food was very good. The birria tacos and carne asada tacos were flavorful, the burrito was solid, and the passion fruit margarita with Patrón was excellent. We were also offered complimentary churros at the end, which was a nice gesture.
Overall, the food and the rest of the experience were good, but the initial reception needs improvement. First impressions matter, especially when welcoming families.

This was not the worst service experience I have ever had, but it is definitely in my top ten. Our server showed little interest in us throughout the entire visit. For most of the meal, our beverages were empty with no refills in sight.
There were four of us dining. Two ordered tacos, one ordered the beef nachos, and I ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas. For thirty four dollars, I received three shrimp, four thin slices of chicken, and a few bell peppers. It felt like a complete rip off.
I also ordered extra chips, salsa, and queso. The queso portion was about four ounces for fourteen dollars, and we never received the additional salsa. My sister in law ordered beef nachos with no jalapenos. They arrived with jalapenos, were sent back, and when they returned they had been remade as bean nachos instead of beef. We asked for them to be removed from the bill. After that, we did not see our server again until the check arrived.
Despite the poor service, we still tipped well and unfortunately overpaid for the food we received. We will not be returning and recommend others choose another place to eat.
As a final note, my husband became sick later that night throwing up, and two of us had severe diarrhea. It could be a coincidence, but the only thing all of us shared was the guacamole from this restaurant.

Place looks nice and that’s about it. Our waitress couldn’t not understand our drink order as we were 4 people and one person ordered a bottle beer ($8) and the other 3 just wanted soda water. It literally took her 5 min to understand that (she and I spoke English) she brings out 3 bottles of soda water for $16 as I just wanted soda water out of the gun or fountain. The tacos were ok portions but the Enchiladas and carnitas were small and not filling at all. Yes I tried to reach out to the restaurant but no where on their website is a link or place to email them. If you’re looking for great service and great food I would try any other place than this.

Visited recently and the overall atmosphere was just okay. Unfortunately, the food was subpar and the service felt mediocre. I had to send my meal back because it arrived cold, and when the manager, Brian, came over, the interaction felt dismissive. Service timing was inconsistent for being rather slow. The environment didn’t feel particularly welcoming, the host just kinda stared at me as if he was confused by my presence. My server asked me to write a review because they pay them extra for it which is odd. I guess when business is slow you have to make it work some how. Save your money eat elsewhere. Also they said they validate parking but it cost $9!!!

Perfect Date Night!
My fiancé and I had an incredible dinner at Dos Caminos last night. From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch—incredibly friendly and surprisingly fast, even for a busy night.
The atmosphere is a huge part of the experience. The decor is amazing, so colorful and lovely, and they have great Mexican music playing that really sets the mood without being overwhelming.
For the food and drinks:
• Margaritas & Apps: Easily some of the best margaritas we’ve had in Charlotte. The chips and salsa were also fresh and addictive.
• Pollo Ranchero: My fiancé ordered this and absolutely loved it.
• Skirt Steak Asada: I went with the steak, and it was pure perfection—tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully.
If you’re looking for great vibes and even better food, this is the spot. We’ll definitely be back soon!
