  Cava makes very nice, fresh Mediterranean food! I love how you can customize your bowl or pita exactly how you like it. The ingredients always taste high-quality and vibrant. The harissa honey chicken is a must-try. It's my go-to for a fast, healthy, and delicious meal that never disappoints.

  Tried Cava for the first time earlier today during a busier hour, and although the team seemed to have a lot on their plates, a nice young man by the name of Nate I believe, was very attentive and helpful. I had a few questions about the menu items due to my dietary restrictions and didn’t want to hold up the line but he was very accommodating, informative, and had a great positive energy. The food was excellent…fresh and flavorful, and I liked the decor of the place!

  Very disappointed with overall attitude of the staff. Just terrible and not pleasant to have a bad feeling about the person serving your food. Clearly she didn’t want to be there and treated me like that. I smiled when I met her but instead she stared and asked what I wanted. I don’t expect a hug just courtesy. I indicated that I had my order as well as others. When I proceeded to give her the 4th she tells me you could only order 3 items and not 4 from the line in person. There wasn’t a sign that I could see warning us about this so I said I needed 4. Didn’t matter! I ended up with 3. Luckily it was just an extra for variety or lunch next day. After leaving I almost turned around and said I no longer want it but I didn’t want to disappoint my family. I understand policies but at least have a policy that insists on customers being treated well. I typically give people the benefit of the doubt and rarely complain but this is the 2nd time I’ve had a poor experience at this location. Her attitude made me feel like my presence was a bother and she couldn’t wait to be done and go home. The entire team was this way. A lady being served by someone else after me mentioned it as well.

  This review is for the Rivergate location in Steele Creek. This is by far the worst Cava I’ve ever been too. If this was my first experience with Cava I would probably never try another one. Fortunately I’ve been to others and it’s typically a great meal. The employees seem to be bothered by serving the customers. I’ve given this place 3 chances and all 3 times it’s been the same. The employees don’t great you or ask how they can help, they just stare at you until you start talking (this has literally happened each time). Also every time they were missing multiple food options. The place looks messy; the dining tables, the food assembly counter tops, and drink fountain all look like they haven’t been cleaned in days. I hate that this place is so bad.

  If I go to a Cava most other places in Charlotte the food is good and the staff friendly. Just got food to go at the Rivergate location in Steele Creek. Unfriendly staff that walks up to the counter after I stand there multiple minutes without being greeted just for the employee to walk up and stare at me like I’ve completely inconvenienced them by my presence. The place was a mess and at 6pm on a Monday night they are out of many toppings. When I asked if there were more toppings I was told no only to watch another employee make a to go order from the back counter with the exact toppings I was told they didn’t have. Steele creek area is on the way to ruining another previously good restaurant. Corporate… hire someone who cares or you won’t last long.
