It has taken 2 years from me to go back to Del Frisco's. The reason for this is that during the previous two times, I found the food to be subpar, the service to be mediocre and the whole environment pretentious and overpriced.
However, with the reassurance of one of my best friends, we gave it another shot.
Unfortunately, the depth to which this restaurant has plunged was unexpected and a ruin to our evening.
The ribeye my associate order came out perfectly cooked but ice cold. The ribeye I had ordered was severely overcooked and also cold. Given that we had already been waiting an hour since our salads, I asked that the steak be recooked and wrapped to go. My associate was not offered any solution to his ice cold ribeye. Then, having waited an additional 30 minutes, I reached out to one of the passing waiters and asked if they had made any progress on re-cooking my steak, prepping my to-go meal or taking care of my associates cold steak.
Within 5 minutes, the same waiter came back and, without a word, presented me with a bag that contained a single ribeye in a container, but none of the sides that had been ordered. I asked if it would be possible that they wrap up the sides and include them in my dinner. Then, out of nowhere, II was told buy a nearby waitress that they were "very busy serving others". That alone left me taken back but that same waiter went on to state that my demanding food to go was "extremely rude"and that she "did not appreciate my being rude to her waiter".
I could not have been more taken back and too surprised to even immediately respond. Thankfully, before I could even question what she was referring to, my associate appropriately stated that we were nothing but polite and patient despite the fact that the service and food was horrific and the wait staffs attitude was deplorable and unprofessional.
Although we decided that the better part of virtue would be to let it go and just never return to Del Frisco, I guess I was hoping for some type of exclamation of what transpired. You know, a horrible day in the restaurant, a loss of someone close to the wait staff, being severely understaffed...
However the manager really was quite unimpressed or the least bit surprised when I recanted our experience with the poor food, service, and overt hostility. The manager, Sean or Seth, dismissively stated that he "would look into it "and wished me a patronizing "good reminder of my day".
Well that was my hat trick at Del Frisco's. Overpriced poor food, poor service and staff attitudes that really should have no role in a service industry, let alone a restaurant.
Had to give one star for food and service because The app won't register if you give no stars.
Bon appetit!

Del Friscos is an industry classic and staple, this Double Eagle location holds up their standards. Kevin was our server and did a great job at being a part of our experience. We were celebrating my bachelorette and they had a card ready, gave me a slice of cheesecake because I said it was my favorite (with no toppings), and ended up substituting our crispy rice for the tuna tartar because it was not what we were hoping for. The steak was so fresh and cooked to perfection with the truffle butter on top. The restaurant is always a bit dark but this time it felt a little darker than usual, not a complaint just an observation!
Chris and I have been dining at Del Frisco’s for many years. It is consistently the Best Restaurant in Charlotte in terms of Fine Dining for Exceptional Service, Food and Wine Selections, Creative Dish Presentations, and Beautifully Appointed Atmosphere. We are fortunate to have Sascha, our Chef de Rang, provide the most incredible dining experience for all these many years! You would do well to ask for him! Their Entire Team from Management to Chefs, Bartenders, Sommeliers, and Service Attendants will ensure you have a memorable and enjoyable evening. We celebrated Chris’s Birthday yesterday, and as always had a wonderful evening spending it at Del Frisco’s.

This is tough to write because Del Frisco’s in Charlotte has always been one of my favorite spots for special occasions. We even chose it for our 7-year anniversary, but this was the worst experience I’ve had there.
The host was great, but the service felt rushed and not as attentive as usual. At the end, instead of boxing our food like they normally do, the server handed us boxes to do it ourselves, which took away from the experience. At the same time, he was trying to sell us a membership, which didn’t feel right.
The food is what really disappointed me. My wife and I always order the same meals, so we know what to expect. Her salmon was bland, and my ribeye with truffle butter was honestly the worst I’ve had there. The whipped mashed potatoes were watery and tasted like instant.
What’s frustrating is I know how good this place used to be. Something felt off, and I really hope this was just a one-time experience.

We received terrible service. Me and my family went to Del Frisco's to celebrate two birthdays and a bride to be. My mother had a bug in her drink and had to get a new one. We waited over an hour and did not receive our food or an update on when it would be ready, until we asked. The waitress dropped off our drinks and we hardly saw her the rest of the night. The waitress told us that our order must have gotten mixed up or pushed back. We only got our food after receiving a patronizing explanation from the manager. She told us they were backed up and we would receive our food shortly. We saw several other tables, that were seated after us, receive their food before us. When our food arrived it was room temperature. We finally left the restaurant after two hours. They comped 2 desserts because of our birthday celebrations.
