Outback is always consistent and thats one of the reasons we like it. You know what youre going to get. The staff is always really friendly! Last night we interacted with at least 4 employees and every one of them were kind and smiling. The only negative thing was it was a little dirty but it was crowded so to be expected i guess but the menus should be wiped down. Other than that everything was awesome

Today, I ate lunch at the Outback's Steakhouse in Cary, N.C. My server/waitress name is Lauren. I should had walked out when she first approached my table carrying boxes, she had broken down. Before you approach a customer table, it is common sense and good courtesy to wash your hands. I asked for a few minutes. After viewing the menu, I observed the cleanliness of the staff and how they interacted with each other and customers. I saw and watch a manager tell Lauren to wash her hands while they were standing at the bar. I made eye contact with Lauren, I am ready to order. She returned nearly 10 minutes later. She grabbed two pitchers and waited on some customers who were nearly ready to exit before returning to my table. After ordering, Lauren reapproach my table, sat my drinks down and walked away. She didn't say anything. She was not attentive. She was distant. When she served my food, the manager assisted her. Her name was Lisa. She asked if we needed anything. Later, I mentioned to Lisa the floor was very slippery and someone could hurt themselves. The floor surface felt like it had oil on it. Once my food was served. I ate very little and decided I would leave. I'm not a Outback fan, rather a big fan of Longhorns. Outback apps was ok. 2/10. The wings 5/10. My waitress, Lauren 2/10. I asked for my check and some take out plates to go. When Lauren returned with the plates, she reached her arm over our food. She could have handed it to me. I rated my service on the kiosk 2/10. I had never skipped giving a server a tip. Servers/ wait staff works hard. I left Lauren 0.00 tip. Some people wants something for nothing. Lastly, Lisa came to the table. Meanwhile, I paid for my food; packing, completing my survey. She asked me if everything is okay and she was confused. I maintained a professional stance. I told her about my experience with Lauren. She said Lauren was in the back, in tears. She even told me, Lauren is a top manager. I couldn't tell if she was a manager at all. She made excuses for her, she have to multi-task. To Lauren, a customer can choose to go anywhere, even stay home and cook. When someone chooses to dine in your area, treat all customers with the same courtesy. I definitely will not be eating at this location.

Outback Steakhouse – Walnut Street, Cary, North Carolina Stopped in on a Sunday evening while driving from Myrtle Beach to the Raleigh-Durham area for the week. I arrived a little over an hour before closing. There was plenty of parking available in the lot, and the restaurant itself appeared clean. Inside, there were a few other tables dining, so it wasn’t completely empty. When I walked in, I stood at the host stand for a short while before someone came over to greet me and take me to a booth. The host interaction was pleasant. I was told I had a specific server—a lady’s name—but my actual server ended up being a gentleman. He was polite and attentive during the initial interaction. He brought my drink, took my order, and a food runner delivered the meal. The food itself was solid. My steak was cooked properly, and the double broccoli was also prepared correctly. No complaints on execution there—I enjoyed the meal. A few moments after the food was delivered, my server walked by and asked how everything was. After that, the experience followed a pattern I’ve seen before when dining close to closing time—I was effectively abandoned. I didn’t see or hear from any staff member again for the remainder of the visit. I ended up paying using the table-side payment device and left without any further interaction. These devices, in my opinion, take away from the customer experience rather than enhancing it. Overall, the meal itself was good, and I did enjoy the solitude, but the lack of engagement after the initial service left the experience feeling incomplete.

My Mom, Aunt and I came to Cary to attend the Celebration of Life for their Oldest Sister. Our EXCELLENT experience started at the front door. My Aunt is in a chair that I have to push her. The hostess came to the door and held it open as we entered. She greeted us with smile and asked how could see assist us with a table that would make it easier for My Aunt to sit at. She escorted us to a table that I could just wheel her to the table top. We were greeted by our Beautiful Server, Paterina B. Her beautiful and friendly personality helped with making our days events less painful. She made us all smile and laugh. Her funny personality made us feel as if we were part of her family. We live in SC. I know that we would recommend Paterina and Outback for anyone to eat when in Cary, NC . The food was fresh and brought out in a timely manner. Andy, the Manager, came out and spoke with us after we wanted to boast on Paterina. Andy was welcoming and received the praise of Paterina and our experience. We were here on April 11, 2026 at 2:31 pm to 3:48 pm.
