- JTJosh TeerNov 30, 20252.0The folks bagging groceries on weekends seriously need some coaching on what items to bag together, and how certain items should be oriented within the bag. We shop here every weekend (usually Saturday mornings) and every single time, there is some nature of nonsensical bagging taking place. Lately, it has been putting fresh meat in the bag upside down, today it was a random package of ground meat in a bag with canned goods, also it always seems as if there is very little to no thought regarding what items should/should not be bagged together. The truly aggravating part is that during the pandemic, we got used to bagging our own groceries (as we were forced to by several retailers), and even ended up preferring it, but now, this Food Lion will not allow us to do it because of the number of items we have (usually a full cart, but not excessively packed). We're probably in the minority here, we would much rather bag our own groceries, but instead, we're now forced to check and rebag some groceries when loading them into our car, or suffer the consequences. There are still things we like about this Food Lion, but we have tolerated this for well over a year, close to two, and our patience is wearing thin. This, in addition to the lack of professionalism (including nonchalant profanity) and customer service from some of the employees, will end up driving us to another store eventually if left unchecked. I truly hope this location addresses these issues and makes improvements. I would love to continue shopping here, but without the frustrations we've experienced for the last year or two.

You mean to tell me if I arrive by myself and just so happen to walk in at the same time as some other random person , I cant purchase beer until you see both our IDs. A person I dont even know? .... Yeah ill just go to Walmart or Lowes food instead now.
