  Long time customer giving up on subway in Boone. My biggest complaint is if you don’t give the employees a tip added on to the sale complete attitude change. If I got exceptional service, I would possibly give a tip even though I don’t understand why someone needs tipped for doing the job they’re paid hourly to do. If the business is promising you tips because they under pay you it is a joke of a professional run business to start with. Most of the time when I order a sub also at the 421 location I barely get enough lettuce on the sub to cover the meat when you spend $20 for a sub I shouldn’t have to ask for extra and I don’t wanna ask just be friendly and go on with my day.

  I ordered on my subway app like I always do and I only go to this location because it is the cleanest store in Boone and the best customer service. Somehow my app got changed to Wilkesboro location and I didn’t realize it so I went in to pick up my order and they said they didn’t have an order for me. The manager Hannah came and looked at my phone and she told me that my order went to the Wilkesboro location. I called the Wilkesboro store to cancel my order and they told me they couldn’t cancel my order. Hannah overheard me on the phone and came over and ask me if she could speak to the person I was talking to. I don’t know what she said but she gave me my phone back and said that they would be canceling the order shortly and I would be getting a refund in the next few days. If I didn’t to let her know and she would make sure I did. She told me to get in line and I could place my order again. While I was in line I got a message saying my order was canceled and I got a full refund. While I was in line I watched Hannah and her other employees and she took such great care of every single customer with great care. She was so sweet and kind to each person. She took the time to make sure they were getting first class service. Her employees were wonderful as well. They were very nice and friendly and helpful. They were all working as a team helping each other while making sure that the customers were getting what they wanted in a timely manner. They were talking with their customers and joking around with some of the customers. It was very busy while I was in there but they didn’t seem to get frustrated at all and handled everything very well. I am so grateful to Hannah who helped me out with my situation. This happened on Friday, September 25, 2025 around 12.30pm. This team of employees need to be recognized for their awesome service and hard work. Hannah is a great manager who takes very good care of the customer because she genuinely cared about my situation and she got it fixed quickly. Thanks for taking the time to help me out. I will always stay loyal to this store because of its customer service and it is always clean. If you ever see anything wrong or the bathroom needs attention you just let them know and they are on top of it. I hope their boss knows just what a great group of employees they have working there. Thanks again Hannah for helping me!

  This is a nice Subway, which surprised me, given some of the other locations I have tried in the general area. The restaurant was clean, attractive, and cool but not freezing like some. The lettuce was actually green and fresh, the tomatoes were almost red, and the tuna was not drowned in mayonnaise. They had iced tea, which many Subways do not have now, and I am learning to check before I order. Peak is not great tea, but at least it's tea! The wait was long at 1 pm, but there were 3 people working the counter and all of them were busy, so I'm ok with that as long as I can see that no one is goofing off or being slow. Also, there was no one working who had a "rough" appearance. I don't eat at Subway often because they don't have spicy mustard anymore, but I don't need that for the tuna or chicken teriyaki subs. Overall, I had an excellent dining experience on this particular day. I also learned that they have personal pan pizzas there, which I did not know.
