They won, I lost, so we stopped at McDonald’s. 😂 At the drive-thru, the cashier asked whether we were using the app. When we said yes, she seemed surprised and had us wait because she was not ready to enter the discount code. Why ask if you are not prepared to take the code? When we pulled up to the window, we paid and got our food, but another employee was clearly confused about which order was ours. To help, I handed her my receipt so she knew exactly what we ordered. Geesh! What keeps McDonald’s “great,” honestly, is not the customer service. It is the automation behind the scenes and the fact that most of the food is pre-prepped. This allows the burgers to taste basically the same no matter where you go, which makes the food predictable, even when the customer service is not so “great.”

Got an iced coffee that was suppossed to be very light flavoring, and what I got was basically cream and sugar with a splash of actual coffee. The hashbrown I got was also cold. Staff seemed very rude and bothered that I dared to go through their drive through and make them have to do their jobs.
