So my wife and I were seated and it took about 5 minutes before we knew we needed to leave. It’s been at least 20 years since we’ve been to Carrabba’s but it was the Asheville location. This location just seemed joyless when we entered. The patrons seemed unhappy and the restaurant wasn’t very clean. When my wife went to sit down her foot slipped because there was something oily or slippery on the floor. The menus felt dirty and tacky. That’s a HUGE turn off. It is something I would expect at maybe a breakfast diner. The nail in the coffin for me was the young man who was serving the table right beside us. He was a twenty something young man with a beard. He seemed polite but his body odor was offensive - he smelled like ripe onions. I’ve never had an offensive odor from a server but his bodily funk lingered in the air long after he left and it was eye-watering. We didn’t sit there long enough for a server to appear and take our drink orders before we got up and left. Everyone that works with that young man had to smell this, especially the manager on duty, and if they can let standards like this slip it made me wonder what other sanitary standards were being lackadaisically upheld. I’ll never be back there again.

We went there for my wife’s birthday a few days ago since my son loves the Lobster Ravioli. I ordered the a lasagne and it was actually inedible. I don’t know if somebody mistakenly used blue cheese instead of ricotta, but the flavor was awful. For staple Italian dish like lasagne, it’s a strong indicator to me of how well the restaurant’s kitchen performs. Two stars because the service was friendly and helpful, and my son enjoyed his ravioli.

Excellent food/service. Would be 5 stars, but after explicitly agreeing to $8ish in up charges on the $10 take home dish, the filet Bryan was just a plain filet. There was no side of the sauce and not on top like the chicken Bryan we purchased as well.
It was nice to not have apps, salad, etc. not come out on top of each other, but there were large gaps between courses.

I dined with my family a couple days before Christmas. We had a party of six and were crammed into a small table. The server was new but mostly did a good job. The food was not the quality we’re accustomed to with Carrabba’s (we usually go to another location). A lot of the calamari was small pieces that were mostly breading. My sister ordered fettuccine, which was dry and tasteless; she couldn’t eat it. My husband had the pork chops, which were not a good cut. I had the lasagna, which was decent but not the quality I usually receive at the other location. We are not fussy eaters but this visit was very disappointing.

Today we visited the Arden, NC restaurant. I’m a long time Carrabas fan but it seems to be declining. We were a table of two in a fairly empty restaurant. We ordered an appetizer, it arrived. Before the bread that we had asked for, apparently the waitress can’t bring it, another employee does. (Salad was delicious ) we waited quite a while for our entrees, I ordered the Italian trio, after waiting so long you assume it will arrive hot. It arrived around room temperature to cold. Lasagna was especially cold. I asked for water, apparently they enter into a computer for someone else to bring? This never happened. I told the waitress who seemed petrified, she said a manager was coming. We waited… finally I asked for the bill, was told a manager” lindsay “ was addressing the issue. After boxing our cold food. We waited 15 more minutes, no “ lindsay”. I paid and left, it wasn’t busy, upon leaving I asked again for the managers name and was told 2 we’re on staff at that time, but neither could apparently help or cared to help? Very dissatisfying, disappointing experience , won’t be returning.
