Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
What a overall terrible experience today. We were passing along I-85 when we decided we would stop and try Whataburger because my wife and I have never been to one before. Well I’ll start by saying we should have just continued on down the road it ended up being a waste of time for what we got. We place our order on the Mobile app for curbside at 12:20. We finally got our order brought to us at 12:38. We got through the bags to find we are missing food, large order of onion rings and a medium fry we also had zero napkins or straws in the bags either. So I made my way inside at 12:40 to get straws to to get the rest of what was missing. Go to the counter tell the lady there and she goes right to the back tells them what she needs comes back and tells me they are putting fresh fries and onion rings down. Well 5 minutes go by still nothing, 10 minutes still nothing, 15 minutes still nothing. Finally I ask her what is taking so long like come on its fries and an onion ring.. They come out with the bag and oh they’ve been sitting back here for 20 minutes why didn’t you say something. Well you’ve got one lady working the front while everyone else is in the back l, you’ve got a line out the door with people trying to order so I guess next time I’ll just come into the kitchen and make my own.. So the manager comes and talks to me and even says himself oh yea these have been sitting and waiting you should have got me and told me. Once again you’re in the back so I guess customers need to go in the back and get their own stuff. So I ask him if it’s acceptable to him that the rest of our order has now been sitting in the car for the last 25 minutes while I’ve been waiting for fries and onion rings. And the only thing he’s willing to do is say he would make us new fries and onion rings. Not a single sorry we messed up, sorry everything has taken so long nothing just a simple well you should have came and got me and told me. Finally get back out to the car hit the road since we’ve been sitting here for an hour for this whole experience.. the patty melt we ordered with no onions, full of onions. Everything else is naturally cold since it’s been sitting for 25 minutes. Overall food tasted bland the burgers really had no taste to them at all. Fries covered and I mean covered in salt. We will not stop here again that is a fact! I really hope others have different experiences but from what I can a lot of others were missing food or had their orders messed up as well.

My burgers are always made to order, I love my burgers with toasted buns with extra bun oil. Whataburger doesn't disappoint. Sometimes I add an egg! Delicious!! 😋 Services are friendly and dining in can be a bit hectic since they just opened but at least it's clean. Don't forget to order a chocolate shake. . . Tomorrow's burger will have bacon and jalapenos with onion rings/spicy ketchup, but where's the A-1 Thick and Hearty I've heard about? 🤯

Visited for the first time this past Saturday night with my family. While the staff was friendly, the overall experience was a bit of a letdown. For a newer place, the cleanliness was definitely not up to par. We ordered via the kiosk, and it took forever for the food to actually come out.
They did make a mistake on one of the kids' meals, but to their credit, they fixed it and let us keep the extra food. My chicken fajita taco and my husband's jalapeño cheese burger were
"just okay." After spending about $50, we felt the value just wasn't there. Not sure what all the hype is about—probably won't be rushing back.🤷🏼♀️

I have tried Whataburger in Albuquerque New Mexico and it wasn't anything to write home about to be honest. I've had better burgers other places. My husband wanted to try Whataburger since it opened up in Archdale. We made 2 different trips. One was for milkshakes and the other was for food. The milkshake trip was meh. I got chocolate and he got strawberry. The strawberry had a very chemically taste to it and I didn't care for it. The chocolate was okay but still meh.
The second trip on a different day was for food. I told my husband that Whataburger wasn't all that great but he wanted to try it to say he tried it. We both ordered burger combos and mine was how I expected. My husband wasn't impressed with his either. Dario or Cook Out is far better than what Whataburger has to offer. Heck, I'd put McDonald's and Wendy's above Whataburger. I've come to the conclusion that the people who love what Whataburger has to offer must not appreciate food or have functional taste buds. To top it all off, it wasn't long after I ate that I had to run to the bathroom because it ran through me like water.
The staff that we encountered were nice. Seems like they are running on a similar model as Dario or Chicfila.
In conclusion, do your taste buds a favor and get a burger somewhere else.

Did an online order, pick up was supposed to be 11:37p it took them pretty much an hour to get the food prepped, was right at an hour until they got home with cold food. The gravy I was given was barely half a scoop in it. And the wrong gravy on top of that. The workers could not even acknowledge that he was there. The manager rixsa (?) has no business being a manager anywhere. She just kept shifting the blame on others, and made the excuse that second shift preps the stuff for them. Told me of I wanted my money back since it was online order that I'd have to go through their customer care line, or I could come back up there and get the food remade. I will only ever go here on first shift hours, from here on out. they are they only reason they are getting 2 stars. Too bad I can't add a picture of how cold the food was. 🙃
