Normally I wouldn’t do this, but after today, I am. When I ordered food, it said it was be done between 5:57 pm and 6:07 pm. I went into the store about 6:10 pm, only to be told it would be another 15 minutes. I patiently waited, went back in about 6:30 and was told it still wasn’t ready. 7 pm rolled around and boxes were finally stacking up. After watching the woman boxing up the food repeatedly throwing boxes up, when they weren’t even closed, she finally calls out my name. I go to the counter, pay for my food, and even give her a little “hassle,” trying to lighten her mood. After telling her to keep the change I go about my night. I drive 40 minutes out of town, back home, and my husband takes a bite of one of the garlic knots. As he’s chewing he notices a ball of hair. A hairball! He calls them immediately and the night manager tells us that he will refund it tomorrow, as we just drove all the way out of town. He takes my name and my number and we wait. Fast forward to today, we hear nothing, so we call the day manager. She proceeds to tell us that there is nothing she can do but to refund the one thing of garlic knots, even though nothing else was eaten after that, and that she needed to call us back because she was the only one working, and she needed to talk to the night manager. Again, another manager took our name and number. After waiting several hours after what she told us to wait, we called back and spoke to one of the employees at night shift, who told us that we apparently “never came back in to get our refund, and that we apparently yelled at the day manager?” The day manager told us not to come in until she called us. So the night employees told us to come in and speak with the night manager. As my husband walked in, the male that was helping him seemed to be super helpful and gave him the refund. As he was at the counter waiting, the same woman who was throwing food around yesterday, was pointing at my husband, and laughing with other employees as she was taking boxes out. (She was behind my husband so he couldn’t see her, but he parked where I could see them, and saw everything she was doing.) I found it extremely disrespectful and horribly degrading. A restaurant that I used to love going to, after this whole experience, we sadly won’t be going back. They were extremely understaffed, I felt very bad for two workers that were there until the third employee came in, and maybe that’s why things went the way they did, but having worked at a restaurant myself, I found all of it to be very distasteful.
