It's unfortunate, we love outback but tonight was too much. I understand it is busy, but we waited for over 20 minutes to even place our order while we watched all the people around us who were seated about the same time as us get their food. Once our orders were taken (and it was only me and my wife) it took another 25 minutes to get our drinks at the 20 minute mark waitress came back asking what our drinks were again bc she never wrote it down, then our blooming onion and my wife's side salad took another 30 minutes, our main courses came 15 minutes later. The chicken was overcooked and super dry. By the time we finally actually were able to eat they were closing down. Horrible service barely checked on. I doubt we'll be back

Tonight, my boyfriend, his mom, and I decided to go to Outback for dinner. His mom has been here before and liked the food while my boyfriend and I have never been. We figured we’d give it a try since we were all available. I first want to say that the guy who sat us was great. He was quick and attentive. However, that’s where the good parts kind of end. It took 5 minutes for our server to even greet us then we saw her maybe 3 more times the rest of the night. She took our drink order and brought us bread. The drinks did take a little long, but I understand that the bartender’s can get busy back there. Our drinks got dropped off and she basically disappeared. We weren’t given any idea on how much longer our food would take and I sat with an empty drink for at least 20 minutes. She would walk by our table and not even look at us, so she never offered a refill despite my drink being empty. When she finally did notice, I could tell she wasn’t that interested. After about 45 minutes to an hour, we get our food. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and shrimp pasta. He asked for no shrimp, extra chicken. The chicken tasted funky, like it was going bad, when we got it and there was barely any sauce. It looked dry, as if it sat under a heat lamp for 10 minutes before going out. My steak and my boyfriend’s mom’s steak were both overcooked. We asked for medium well (their guide in the menu shows plenty of pink), but they both came out grey. They were also so peppered that it made our tongues burn. The whole time, while we struggle to eat our food, she’s attending to a table of 6 nearby and constantly asking if they wanted refills, more bread, etc. I work as a server and her service tonight was appalling. From 4:45pm (when we arrived) until we left at 7:00pm, she only checked on us 4 times and rudely asked if we wanted boxes. She didn’t ask why we couldn’t eat over half of our plates. I don’t know if she expected us to not tip well and that’s why we got shoddy service while her other two tables were actively getting waited on or what. We tipped her more than either of us wanted to for the level of service we got because all three of us work in restaurants (a host, a cook, and server). None of us will be back to Outback Steakhouse and we now see why this place has gone downhill.

My wife & I ate lunch today, 2-23-2026 at the Billings, MT location. We frequently eat at this location but have always done carryout. Food is good, and as expected so today we decided to dine in. Outback was not busy, maybe 20 people inside. It appeared to be staffed adequately and we were waited on by a female bartender. The service was poor, slow, and lack of attention to basic customer service. She took our order promptly, another waiter brought our salads. She asked is everything ok walking by & we replied fine. The meal was served after a lengthy wait only Chicken on the Barbie. As the bartender served our lunch she was in motion the whole time without stopping as she presented meal. No normal bread was served, and someone from the kitchen walked by and we asked about it & he was kind enough to bring out within 20 seconds. Bartender was more attentive to her phone than her customers, and the bar had no customers. Very dissatisfied will no longer dine in and stick to curbside orders.

$150.00 dollar order waste of money. Ordered our meal through DoorDash and the driver brought the wrong order with no receipt. Called your restaurant and the manager said that a new girl gave the wrong order to the driver. After a brief conversation with the manager about making it right he said there was nothing they could do but we could come pick up are order. My daughter went and picked it up and they told her they reheated some of the items. Ribeye, teriyaki sticks and ribs all over cooked after being reheated I’m assuming. Potatos were cold. Neither DoorDash or the restaurant would make it right. I will never order food here again or use DoorDash!!!

Our party of 6 showed up at noon today. We were sat immediately even though our party did not all arrive at the same time. Our server was Mason. He didn't introduce himself. That is my one and only negative (and very minor) thing!! Mason took our drink orders and came back with them in a very reasonable amount of time. Very polite, I might add! We asked for 3 separate tickets (3 couples). One couple ordered a blooming onion. It also came out in a very reasonable amount of time. He asked if he could take our order but we (I) weren't quite ready. Mason came back about 4 or 5 minutes later and took our order. Very polite. Asked about sides and went away. By this time the restaurant was getting pretty busy. Our meals took a little longer than usual, but they were getting busier too. I get it. No problem. The meals came back in what I believe was a respectable amount of time. We never had to ask for dink refills because they just magically appeared. Mason brought to go boxes for a couple of us and our tickets. The tickets were broken down perfectly for each couple. Mason did a terrific job for us today! The reviews for this location have been all over the place the past couple of months, so I was worried. Mason changed that worry into an amazing experience for all 6 of us.
