Beer could have been colder though. Bread pudding was good, but so dang temperature hot it burned my mouth because I didn’t want to wait!

Got there as a local church bus dropped off a bus load of older folks. As I was holding the door for some of them a conversation started about it being our first time there. She told me “get the fried green tomatoes”. The place is large and handled the crowd well. Our server, Ebony, greeted us quickly and with a big smile. She took our drink order and told us about the special of the day, catfish. I advised her I was told to try the fried green tomatoes. She agreed. Within minutes our drinks and tomatoes were on the table. Two of us ordered the catfish and Ebony said her favorite way was one filet fried and one blackened. We took her advice. Seemed like 5 minutes and the catfish was there. The tomatoes were fantastic. I expected regular fried tomatoes. I was pleasantly surprised they were fried and had hollandaise and crabmeat. Absolutely delicious. Definitely order them. The catfish was juicy and very fresh. Just an excellent meal all around. Ebony couldn’t have been any friendlier or faster with service. I hate the thought I won’t be back thru Vicksburg for another year. But I know where I’ll be stopping.
