I am a door dasher and have been dashing for 2+ years. As a platinum dasher I know my stuff pretty well and am not an amateur. Around 12am August 20th 2025 I got a stacked order (two orders for two different people and two different places) it paid pretty well so I accepted it and headed to the first restaurant and everything went smoothly there they seemed to have their wits about them and didn’t have the IQs of a gold fish that had been shaken in the baggie on the way home. Second order was from Wendy’s on west main in Tupelo MS. I pulled around to the drive thru since the lobby had closed due to how late it was. The woman handling the drive thru where customers come to have a convenient and pleasant experience automatically had an attitude once she heard I was a door dasher (you get used to it after a while but it still sucks). She proceeded to tell my that the order I was picking up had already been gotten and dismissed me. I called the customer while still in the drive thru at the menu and speaker box. She proceeded to tell me I wasn’t allowed to sit there and contact my customer to pull around in the rudest way possible. I pulled around and tried to explain that the customer told me that they had not received any information about anyone being headed to them with their food. She got immediately defensive and said once the order is picked up they have nothing to do with it. I simply made the statement ‘did you not make them confirm the order’ which would be any dashers first thought because there is a process to ensure orders are not stolen. She was infuriated by my question and closed the window and told her manager ‘he is trying to get smart with me I’m not the one’ and restated what I had said about the order not being confirmed followed by ‘who is you’. The manager was not any help either he was an older male with a peppery beard and seemed to not even want to hear what I had to say about his employee so easily flying off the handle on a customer. He dismissed me as well even though I was clearly on the phone with someone who was not receiving their order due to unintelligent employee behavior on their end. It wasn’t going anywhere and door dash supports my family making ends meet so I swallowed my pride and drove away only focusing on resolving my customers issue at this point (they got a refund and it was all settled out for both of us!). Just a heads up if you’re dashing and there is a heavy set woman with no teeth and a miserable attitude steer clear management will not gain control over said employee they will treat you awful just the same. Shame on you for allowing her to treat people trying to also make a living and just do right by their customer to ensure their issue is resolved considering they spent money at your establishment and y'all allowed for their meal to be stolen and then don’t have the decency to resolve it as I was trying to do when you both got offended by me doing so. THIS HAPPENS OFTEN AT THIS LOCATION AS WELL !!! MANY MANY MANY TIMES I HAVE COME TO PICK AN ORDER UP FROM WEST MAIN WENDYS AND THEY HAVE LOST IT AND THE EMPLOYEES ARE RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!
