What I am about to say is extremely unfortunate, and is backed by a sworn statement from a police officer.
I used to love Dairy Queen. The only other place in town to get cheese curds, to my knowledge, is Buffalo Wild Wings, and I preferred DQ's to theirs. But I will never choose to eat at this establishment, or any other Dairy Queen ever again after what happened to me here.
On or around December 30, 2025, I went into this Dairy Queen after purchasing new tires at the Walmart located across the street. The ordeal was lengthy and tiring, so I wanted to get something to eat, but I had to use the bathroom first.
After I went into the bathroom, an older black male employee named forced the lock on the bathroom door open and accused me of 'taking a bath' in there. I have no need to take a bath in a Dairy Queen bathroom; I am not homeless nor on illegal drugs. I demanded an apology from the employee, and he refused. The manager apologized on his behalf, but I found the apology to be half-hearted and insufficient. I once again demanded an apology from the employee, and he refused, so I called the police.
The police officer decided that instead of arresting him, they would arrest me on a 3-year-old warrant for a misdemeanor failure to appear in court regarding an expired license plate tag. I had gone through a period of financial hardship and had paid for the tag a short time after it had expired, and was unaware that I had needed to go to court, nor, to my knowledge, had I received a notice of a warrant from the City Court. I had to bond out with the last $150 I had on me after spending over $400 in new tires, which were left in the back of my vehicle, which remained in the parking lot of this Dairy Queen.
