Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers reported inconsistent food quality, with some meals being cold or poorly prepared, while others praised the freshness and taste.
Service Issues
Many reviews highlighted slow service, incorrect orders, and rude staff, indicating a need for better training and management.
Cleanliness
The dining area was frequently noted as clean, but some customers expressed concerns about the restroom access and overall safety of the location.
Customer Experience
While some customers had positive experiences with friendly staff and good service, others reported negative interactions that affected their overall satisfaction.

Only order on inside, yet waited for food for 12 minutes. Too long to have most of the food barely warm upon receipt. Burger looked unappealing and the bun looked old and cracked. Burger fell out of double wrapped paper onto table. The order was packed to go but we asked for dine in. Difficult to get into parking lot from front, but that's a design fault.

Quality of the hamburgers weren’t the greatest, but fries were hot. Needed to use the restroom but they eventually wasn’t for customers as they were locked with a keypad. I asked a colored employee if I could use the restroom and she said “ they out”. Being from out of state we definitely won’t be back and probably won’t ever go to another Whataburger

Look. This was a special moment for me. I'm a Texan, and this was 8 years of waiting to experience Whataburger again. Had opportunities, but they got shot down or something else came up. This was the best Whataburger I've ever been too. It completely shocked me, it felt like being in Texas again. Staff was super friendly and helpful, walking your food to your table. Already having the spicy ketchup ready on the tray. The place was super clean and bathrooms were locked tight with a passcode door handle, I'd been on the road all day and I had to go. Walked to the counter asked if I could go, no hastation, she said of course and opened the door for me, super clean and well kept. Had a nice meal with my girl and my son. (He's two and a half and he ate like a champ) Now I do have one thing to say about it that might not suit others people, but it does have a pretty serious homeless person problem. In the almost hour I was in the restaurant, I saw maybe 7ish people walking around, carts, big dirty bags, it's no secret. I just grew up around it, so it doesn't surprise me or anything like that. But the inside was immaculate. Even with the big windows, I didn't really care about the outside. Made a happy memory with my family and FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY! TRY THE DR. PEPPER BLACKBERRY SHAKE!! IT WAS THE BEST 6 DOLLARS I'VE EVER SPENT! If I ever find my way back to Jackson, I'll try it again. Thanks you guys so much for taking me back memory lane. Just tell that guy taking the trash out in the lobby to pull his pants up. Grab a belt or a trash bag if 86'd Thank YOU 👍 MUCH LOVE!
