I’d like to start off by saying I’ve had an excellent experience when it comes to the food and service at every other Chick fil a I’ve been to. I had a pretty rough experience today at this location. As a college student, I visit regularly to grab something to eat, and most of the time I never have an issue, but this time I did. As I was ordering my food, I usually try to do things in a manner that makes it easier for them, but without thinking, I paid as she was repeating my order back to me. She stopped talking, let out a sigh, and mumbled something under her breath. I apologized and was ignored on three occasions as she was filling my drink. She then handed me my drink, said “it was okay,” and asked if I wanted a receipt in a very monotone, irritated way. I said yes. She handed me my receipt, and I apologized once more, saying, “I never want to make anyone’s job harder, so I do apologize. I just wasn’t thinking as you were repeating back my order.” As she handed me my receipt, she said “my pleasure” and turned her back.
This same woman, Keisha, had given me this same tone a while back, about two weeks after they opened, but I ignored it that time. This time, I spoke to the manager, and he handled things well, as well as had a short conversation with me about his experiences at college, which was nice. As I was speaking to him, she was eavesdropping while cleaning and eventually decided to come up mid conversation. She spoke to me and mentioned some things, and I understand times are tough, but it should never be taken out on the customer. Once she left, she proceeded to tell a completely different story behind the register to her coworkers, saying I was rushing her and other things that were not true, which was unprofessional. Others seem to have the same issue with that woman. Every other worker at that Chick fil a, and I’m friends with some of them, is incredible, with great attitudes. I spoke to one woman, I can’t remember her name, but she genuinely made my day. Every other worker there has been incredibly professional and kind, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. However, that experience was unacceptable and did not align at all with Chick fil a’s standards, which, by the way, are unmatched. If someone is having a bad day, it should not be taken out on the customers.
