First off it was hot in the establishment like our server was sweating, hot!! When we ordered, the food was wrong; both plates. The steaks were ordered medium, one came out rare, and one came out medium well; which made it tougher. We didn’t get the correct vegetables or the mushrooms, and it took a while for the correct vegetables to be brought out; however the mushroom we didn’t not get at all. The server was polite the whole time and was very apologetic; however this was our first visit to SaltGrass and it was a 2 hour drive for us. We had heard rave reviews so we drove, to try it out. We will stick with our Texas Roadhouse the next time, as it never disappoints!

Disappointed doesn’t cover it. It was more like a $140 mugging. Over seasoned, undersized and overpriced. They “ran out” of baked potatoes, so I got two spoonfuls of garlic-ladened mashed potatoes to accompany the 10- ounce sirloin I ordered (that was smaller than the 8- ounce my wife got with her combo) that arrived without the shrimp. Believing we got the wrong order, I asked the server if she thought my steak was 10- ounces, she replied “That’s just the way they come out sometimes”. No kidding. I can see how it came out, thus the question. When she brought the check, she asked how everything was. We said that we were very disappointed in the meal, to which she replied “I guess you’ll have to do the dishes”. I have no idea what that was supposed to mean. I am a “Landry select” member (that and a buck might get you a cup of coffee), but this will be my last visit. I can pay a third of the price for a better meal at any chain steakhouse.

To start with the waitress was rude and didn't pay attention to anyone's order. I ordered a bacon wrapped filet, waitress came back and said they were out of the bacon wrapped filets. I said, but you have the filets just not the bacon wrapped she said yes. The food comes and there is a sirloin on my plate. Another order that was to have just the chicken bacon honey mustard sandwich with no onion, lettuce or pickles came loaded with lettuce after picking all the lettuce off and asking for honey mustard, the waitress comes back with a plate of lettuce. Another order the hamburger was cooked to long dry and hard. They manager comes over and I tell her I order a filet and this is not a filet. She says it was butterflies. I told her nobody butterflies a rare steak. She took it back and came back with another sirloin, when I said something she informed me that is what they got in for filets and walked away. I decided to try a bite and it was not rare it was raw. I ask for the manager to come back and a young black man came this time. He was the only polite person in the restraunt. I explained I could not eat that and had no intention of paying for it. I also told him the pictures in the menu show round filets and it is mis-leading. He informed me that they do have the bacon wrapped filets that I had originally order. I told him that my experience has been very poor and I didn't want to reorder everyone else was done one person had already left the table with most of his hamburger still on the plate and only ate the fries. He said, he would take mine off and the other one and comp have of one. I left paying a $75.00 bill and still had not eaten. The service was poor and that bite of steak was horrible. So much for a good steak dinner on Christmas. Not to mention I ordered unsweetened tea and the waitress kept bring me sweet. The tea was not good another person switched to coke.

My parents took me here for my 42nd birthday today and the food was really good and I loved the atmosphere. What really blew me away by it all though was the service!! Trey was our server and he was very attentive, very polite and all around went above and beyond to make our experience a great one!! It's not often lately that servers have good manners, positive attitudes and friendly personality. So when you come across someone like Trey who was all of that and more, it deserves to be recognized!! That man deserves a raise, a standing ovation and an applause. We tried to speak with the manager there to let her know how much we appreciated Trey, but she didn't seem interested in listening to anything at all that we had to say. Her personality was very off-putting and quite offensive to be honest. She could definitely learn a thing or five from Trey on customer service and satisfaction. I hope this review gets Trey and others like him the recognition they deserve. This was my first time at this restaurant and I will definitely be returning! Thank you again Trey for making my birthday a memorable one!

We had a reservation for a part of 10. When part of the party arrived they were told, yhe table was not ready. As our party was arriving, they kept seating other guest. So after about 15 mins we asked was our table ready, the mgr replied, all of your party is not here. We replied we only have 2 more coming, yhey will be here less that 10 mins, as they were coming from diffrent areas. Her replie was u had a reservation for 15 people, we replied, there's only 10 not sure we're 15 came from! Her reply was, you have to wait for your whole party to arrive. We was like really!!! So, Her stank attitude lost you about 400 + dollar dinner.
Thank God we did. Our party turned out better at Aztecas. Also saved some money.
I bragged on how Flavorful and excellent on how your restaurant was!
