We had a good experience at Chulah. The staff was friendly and we did not have to wait too long for our food. Butter chicken and chicken 65 was delicious. We ordered it medium and it did have a kick to it but was great. For people who are worried about spice, I would stick with the mild option. Garlic naan was awesome as well. We're happy to come back here again!

This is my very first Google review EVER, because I feel compelled to share the wonderful experience my husband and I had at this restaurant on Sunday afternoon. To say it did not disappoint would be an understatement. My first encounter with Indian cuisine was a couple of years ago at Black Salt, which is phenomenal.  Since then, I’ve explored other Indian restaurants and have been so consistently disappointed that I gave up trying new ones and pledged my loyalty to Black Salt, which has been so successful and popular that you can't just go there on a whim and have to make reservations a week or two in advance for a Friday or Saturday night.  After our experience at Chulah, it dawned on me that if my first experience with Indian food had been based on one of those disappointing experiences instead of Black Salt, I would have likely decided that I didn’t like Indian food at all and never tried it again.  I wonder how many people believe that they don't like Indian food because of their first experience being at one of those disappointing establishments? I would definitely eat here again, in fact, I can’t wait to eat here again!  The service was excellent, and the food was fresh and delicious! I was particularly impressed by how tender and flavorful the shrimp was. What really set it apart though was how fresh it tasted. One suggestion for the restaurant owners would be to provide a guidebook alongside the menu for patrons like myself who are still getting acquainted with Indian cuisine. I consider myself an adventurous eater, and when I visit a new restaurant, I always ask the waitstaff for their personal recommendations, especially when I'm unfamiliar with the cuisine. All 3 dishes recommended by our waitress were outstanding and uniquely different. After placing our order, we asked to keep the menu because we were curious about all the different dishes. I found myself Googling menu items while we waited for our food to arrive, and I can’t wait to try even more in the future, which is why I think a detailed guide would be helpful. If you’re local and have never tried Indian food or have tried it and weren't a fan,  I encourage you to support this restaurant. They weren’t very busy during our visit, and I hope that doesn’t reflect their overall success since opening. It would truly be a loss for Wildwood to lose such a gem. Many restaurants in our area seem to fail rather quickly, and having patronized nearly all of those that did, I could see why they were not successful. This restaurant, however, stands apart and truly deserves our support. I can officially say that I have two favorite Indian restaurants now! It was SO good!!!!!!

We planned to go to Chula this weekend with our 7 year old. Its a 30+min drive from our home and clubbed having lunch here along with many other activities. Sushmitha attended our table and gave a warm welcome and ensured we had a great experience. From starters to main course to desserts, the flavors were deep, rich and tasty. Not to forget, there are plenty of vegetarian options too. We ordered Railway cutlet, gralic naan, veg chettinad, paneer mughalai, mango lassi, and jamin rabadi. The size of the garlic naan here is hands down the biggest we have bought in any restaurant so far. 1 full naan is equals to 1.5 times of an average size naan. Mango lassi was super creamy and rich. This alone checks the box for our kiddo and he described even after swallowing he could feel the smooth texture of the lassi in his mouth. ❤️ Must visit for those looking for excellent Indian food and great ambience. The long drive was certainly worth it. We will visit again in the future.

My wife and I decided to try this local restaurant name Chulah in Wildwood, Missouri last weekend and were pleasantly surprised. The hostess let us pick our table and it was beautiful and subdued. I'm not vegetarian but approximately half of options on the menu were vegetarian. There were plenty of choices either way. The hostess was patient and helpful during menu selections, had the food prepared to our preferred level of spiciness, and was attentive to our table when we needed anything. The portions were large enough that we ate leftovers the next day. I would highly recommend without hesitation.
