- SLSand LandOct 1, 20231.0False advertising and strangely high prices. All their decent small sandwiches and wraps have prices listed around $8.50 except for one. I selected the one. After waiting in line 5 minutes behind a lottery person, I was shocked to discover that my small sandwich rang up as about $8.50 as opposed to the $4.50 shown on the shelf in front of the sandwich on the shelf. Even after showing the cashier the price shown on the shelf, she told me I would have to pay $8.50. This meets the legal definition of false advertising. What they're doing is illegal. This is the first time in my life I have ever experienced it - every other store I've ever been to that had a product mislabeled honors the price on the shelf. I ended up having to forfeit the sandwich and 10 minutes of my time as well as the time it takes to get more reasonably priced food from elsewhere. Never experienced this sort of poor management before from any gas station.
