I love Panera and each of their Restaurants are always about the same in Quality, taste, and the friendly environment. Panera always have experienced Managers with younger Leads, helping the work environment too.

I will start with the employees were wonderful. I was greeted with a smile my order was taken, and there’s where everything went wrong. They were very busy no manager insight. And they have this system track your order on the computer. When you do and you question it, they tell you it means nothing. It’s just the way the computer looks but what it tells you is we received your order. We’re working on your order. We’re checking on your order and your order is ready people who came in after me and I watched them place their order at the counter they weren’t picking up something they previously ordered Their order went to the kitchen. It said we got your order and then we’re prepping your order and then their order came up. Mine sat there 22 minutes. I finally said I’ve had enough and I wanted to cancel my order they had to go in the back and get the manager Who was blatantly annoyed. She was not verbally rude however her attitude said that I was annoying her and that it was not their problem but mine I love the food at Panera, but I will not go back as for the next things that I will check take out and etc.. I never got that far. I canceled the order. I got a refund and I left. I was told to keep the cinnamon roll and the complementary birthday pastry that were already in my sack. I did offer them back when she refunded my check. She annoyed, waved me off, and went back to the back. She already commented that her staff was overworked over here in the kitchen that you had three people, but she did not stop to help them. I’ve run a restaurant before her job was right there to take care of those orders to help that overworked kitchen staff there should be nobody collecting unemployment or welfare with all the understaffing that I have seen in the last three days while I have been out

The first issue this week happened when I placed a Rapid Pick-Up order that was supposed to be ready at 6:00 p.m. but wasn’t actually ready until 7:30 p.m.—a full hour and a half later.
The next morning, I placed another Rapid Pick-Up order. My order showed it was ready on the rapid shelf, but it wasn’t there. I ended up having to wait in line, which defeats the entire purpose of using Rapid Pick-Up. During this visit, a staff member also made a very concerning comment to a customer, saying she was “just wanting to die every day.” I reached out to management afterward to recommend a well-being check on employees, because that kind of statement signals a deeper issue that shouldn’t be ignored.
Most recently, I went back again and picked up an order off the Rapid Pick-Up shelf. The bread bowl for the onion soup was missing. When I asked at the counter, the employee insisted it had been packed and essentially implied we were lying. She even asked if she could search our Rapid Pick-Up bag. She then unpacked all of our food for five people across the counter, only to find the bread bowl had never been included. When I got home, I realized the bread bowl wasn’t even prepped for soup (the center wasn’t cut out) and the onion soup itself was the wrong size.
Needless to say, this Panera location needs a lot of work—both in customer service and in making sure employees have the support they clearly need.
