I ordered a chili cheese dog and fries and paid, and while we were waiting I stepped away briefly to wash my hands. During that time, my mom tried to pick up the order, but there was confusion and poor communication from staff. She was handed items without clear explanation and wasn’t even sure if everything we ordered was included. The whole interaction felt disorganized and frustrating, especially since she hadn’t been part of the ordering process. What should have been a simple, enjoyable stop turned into a stressful experience. We’re big St. Louis homers and love supporting local spots and showing visitors around our city—but unfortunately, this experience was bad enough that we won’t be returning. Being rude to a senior citizen, really disappointing.

I usually get to-go orders, lately of which have barely been edible. My veggie dog is over cooked, hard as a rock. The toppings are slopped all over so the bun is soaked and it’s a mess to even try to eat. The fries are always terrific (even cold), so that’s the saving grace. But I can’t justify spending almost $20 on a meal that I can barely eat. Steve does fantastic work for the community; I’ll just have to support that in a different way.
