Steve's Hot Dogs, founded by musician Steve Ewing of The Urge, is the home of the Official St. Louis Style hot dog. Voted Best Hot Dogs in St. Louis, the smoked all-beef hot dogs at this legendary local eatery are second-to-none. It all starts with a fresh-baked hearty companion bakery bun topped with a cold smoked and grilled Nathan's Famous dog, each one topped to perfection with creative combinations of toppings. Steve's Hot Dogs is also known for some of the best smashburgers you're going to find. Steve's award-winning smashburgers are made from a blend of chuck, angus and sirloin - try it classic style or topped to the hilt. Pair with "St. Louis's Best French Fries" (St. Louis Magazine) or one of a selection of local beers and brews for the perfect lunch or dinner.

The people and place were nice, but the food wasn't. They use crinkle cut fries, which are always limp and tasteless and these were no different. I went to pick up my dog and their buns are so dry that the dog broke through and fell out of the bottom. I got the Jamaican and the girlfriend had the jalapeno popper, they both just taste like BBQ sauce. The actual hotdog by itself was cooked well though.

Went here for the soup crawl and it was good food. I promise I did not leave because of the open mic I just happened to leave right when it started

Dude these people served me a hotdog on a wet bun that was in 3 pieces when I opened the foil. I opened it and tried to stay calm but the whole thing exploded upon attempting to take a bite. These hot dog used to be stuffed reliably. How am I supposed to eat this? This in combination with the over priced and far worse hot dogs they've been pushing at the stadiums is driving me away from supporting this local business I used to love.

This restaurant is amazing! Their food is delicious and accommodating. I’m vegetarian and they have vegan chili and hot dogs. My friend has celiac and they have gluten free buns plus follow cross contamination protocols. They’re also great with kids and have a family deal on Fridays. I highly recommend!!!

The fig burger is easily one of the tastiest burgers I've ever eaten, anywhere in the country. The flavor was complex, but so will balance. The char on the pattie was perfect. The only downside is the fries were just average. The burger was an absolute superstar.
