I had a wonderful dinner at Cibare Italian Restaurant inside River City Casino & Hotel. I grabbed a seat at the bar by myself during dinner time while waiting for the casino drawing giveaway, and it turned out I didn't win, but I was able to enjoy something new. I started with the toasted ravioli, which came out hot and fresh with a really good beef filling--classic and comforting. I also ordered the garlic cheese bread, and it did not disappoint. It was thick, fluffy, and cheesy with the perfect cheese pull as I pulled the bread apart. Dipping it into the creamy marinara sauce was the perfect complement to both appetizers. The only slight disappointment was realizing the menu had changed. While looking up previous reviews and menus before ordering, I came across spinach & cheese arancini fried balls that I was really excited to try. When I went to order them, I found out they had swapped that option for a Sicilian sausage version instead, which just wasn't something I was interested in trying. That said, the quality of the food I did have was excellent, and I will try some of those pasta dishes and pizzas in the near future, I'd just love to see some of those older favorites make a return.

This is one of my favorite places to have breakfast! I don't gamble, but I will go to the casino just for this place. The coffee is good, the food is good, and the pastry is good and looks beautiful!

My husband and I come here often, and we’ve never had a bad experience. The food is consistently great and the service is always friendly. Last night we tried the Bianca pizza (white sauce, garlic, and spinach + with added chicken)…. seriously one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had in St. Louis. Easily beats Pastaria in Clayton, no contest. I’ve also had several of their salads and chicken entrées, and everything has been solid every time. Honestly, I don’t understand the negative reviews…maybe those folks just had a rough night at the casino, because this place never disappoints.

Not like it used to be. Much more expensive and very choices. We couldn’t even get a simple sausage pizza. Would like to see some of the old menu return. We are switching to the place next door.
