Hemingway’s Blue Water Cafe delivers a polished yet approachable dining experience that fits perfectly within the Bass Pro Shops setting. The atmosphere blends upscale lodge aesthetics with a relaxed vibe, making it an easy choice whether you’re entertaining clients or stepping out for a mid-day break. One of the standout menu items is the bison burger. It’s cooked well, flavorful without being heavy, and offers a nice alternative to a traditional beef option. The balance of seasoning and quality ingredients makes it a reliable go-to if you’re unsure what to order. The menu overall is diverse enough to accommodate different tastes, which is key when meeting with clients or colleagues. Service is typically efficient and professional, keeping things moving without feeling rushed, exactly what you want in a business lunch setting. Seating is comfortable, and the layout allows for conversation without excessive noise, which can be a challenge at many restaurants. Timing on food delivery is consistent, making it easy to plan around a work schedule. Overall, Hemingway’s stands out as a strong option for a business lunch in Springfield. Solid food, dependable service, and an environment that supports both casual and professional meetings.

I had the brunch buffet : The salad was good, but not a lot of choices. As far as the hot line I found everything bland as if it was all just prepackaged sides heated up. The blackened chicken Alfredo was both bland and tough. The bourbon glazed " sirloin" was dry and tasteless. The desert bar had several items of which I tried three. The strawberry bar was very dense, the peach cobbler tasted strait out of a grocery store freezer. The coconut bar was actually tasty. My wife ordered the alligator bites as we had had them multiple times and had always enjoyed them. We found them very tough and basically inedible this time. When asked by the waitress how are Meal was, she seemed personally insulted when I told her that the alligator bites were very tough. The manager did come over and apologize and did end up taking them off our bill. Due to our past experiences we will probably give them another try, but had this been our first visit it definitely would have been our last.

The food was alright. We were told that they had a special all the shrimp you can eat for $15. This didn't come with a side so we paid $4 more for a side. When we asked for more shrimp the waitress informed us that she could bring some out but didn't have anymore . I gave these to my husband. I feel that this is very deceitful. They should've told us that we would only get a small amount for that price. Wouldn't eat there again. I FEEL LIKE WE WERE LIED TO AND SCAMMED. TOTAL BILL WAS $42.00

This place reminds me of airport restaurants, too much lighting, weak drinks, and the food tastes like its microwaved. This place was a total disappointment and to over priced for what your getting. Will not be going back sadly as I can get past the lighting as the fish tanks are nice and the staff is friendly but the food was extremely sub par for the pricing.

Danielle was very friendly and awesome! She would check on us, but was not intrusive! I had the halibut and it was cooked perfectly and my husband had the fish and chips and was large and tasty! We shared the peach blackberry cobbler that was delicious and not too sweet with a tender crust. We also had our picture taken in front of their fish tank like a true tourist!! We were there around 4:30 pm Friday 04/17/2026, and it was not busy, we felt lucky about that!
