This location is one of the worst ran Chipotle’s I have ever seen. It has two personalities… one during the day and another at night. Day seems fine. Not great but fine. Food quality makes visits worth it. Night is awful and I refuse to eat here at night. The crew could not care less about customers. They are out of food constantly. Not sub items… entire proteins. Chicken AND steak at the same time on many occasions. The staff move at snail pace seemingly unbothered by all of it. They do not communicate. As a line of people show up and stand for 20+ mins they say nothing of why the line isn’t moving. They watch as people get mad and leave and they do not care. The staff are often far more concerned with loudly talking about their private social lives and blaming each other for their failures. Absolutely one of the most unprofessional and toxic places to eat. They’ve lost my weekly business permanently to Qdoba. The food isn’t as good, but they actually serve me within 30 mins and have food prepared when I come in. I don’t know who the owner of this location is but they should be terribly embarrassed of the tragic level of service, cleanliness, and care of their evening staff.

So, I understand that the employees at this location probably don’t love their jobs and have to deal with Karens and stressful situations on a daily basis. The turnover rate seems high, the pay is probably insufficient, and they’re likely understaffed on certain days. However, even with that in mind, this location needs serious changes. Many people have encountered numerous issues at this location that unfortunately still have not been addressed. On one occasion we ordered three veggie bowls for pickup (all of which were labeled with a “V”) that inexplicably had queso and meat on two of them. Thankfully, they did apologize and work to resolve this particular issue. However, I’ve interacted with a couple different employees on multiple occasions that were extremely curt and kept repeatedly asking, “What else? And what else?”, while sliding everyone’s bowls through an unwashed counter covered in sour cream, cheese, and grease, so I had to wipe down my bowl with napkins (some of these problems occasionally happened close to opening time, so there were only a few people in line at the time on certain days). Sometimes while in line I can’t even fully articulate what I want because an employee is in autopilot mode and won’t even comprehend what I’m saying. This has occasionally resulted in them putting ingredients on my bowl that I didn’t even ask for. Some employees often ladle the food so aggressively that it splashes over into other ingredients and all over the counter. I know that it’s important to move at a brisk pace and keep things moving, but ideally not at the expense of the quality of the service and food. Despite this, I’ve continued to remain patient with them and understand their situation, but the issues still continue. The portions are inconsistent, the rice is often undercooked, ingredients are frequently unavailable, employees often mess up orders, and I’ve received numerous bowls slathered in cheese and sour cream. I did enjoy the food here on good days, but lately it’s been harder to predict the type of experience one will have at this location, so I’ll probably give QDOBA a try instead. Hopefully these concerns are finally addressed and the overworked employees can get the help they need at some point. Thanks for reading my unnecessarily long novella about Chipotle.

This Chipotle is not just bad—it’s a complete embarrassment to the brand. I placed an online order for 12:30pm, and by 1:15pm it was still nowhere in sight. That’s nearly an hour late for a supposedly “fast” food restaurant. When I tried to ask about my missing meal, a worker actually barked at me to “move back.” Move back? From the food I paid for? The arrogance and hostility are staggering. What I witnessed inside was not a restaurant—it was a circus. Employees in the back where online orders are prepped were standing around, sipping from Chipotle cups, laughing, and treating the place like their personal hangout while customers stood waiting. Food prep? Nonexistent. Customer service? Utterly absent. Is this supposed to be a restaurant or a social club for employees? The constant churn of new faces tells the story: turnover here must be sky-high, and it shows. No one seems trained, no one seems accountable, and no one seems remotely interested in serving customers. Lunch hour is the most predictable rush of the day—yet this location is perpetually unprepared, disorganized, and indifferent. I ultimately had to leave without my order, robbed of both my money and my time. This isn’t just incompetence—it’s contempt for customers. Corporate should step in immediately and shut this disaster down until management can figure out how to run a restaurant. I love Chipotle, but this location is a disgrace. It has permanently lost my business, and I’ll be warning everyone I know to steer clear.

We had such a great experience at this Chipotle! The employees were super sweet and friendly the whole time. They didn’t hesitate to swap out one of the toppings when I asked, and they even added a little extra when we requested it. Everything was fresh, delicious, and made just the way we wanted. It’s always nice when the staff goes the extra mile — definitely one of the best Chipotle visits we’ve had!

I’m writing this review after multiple visits to the Chipotle on Campbell in Springfield, Missouri, where I’ve experienced the same issue repeatedly for over six months. Each time I’ve ordered — both in person and through the mobile app — this location has been out of peppers and onions. Every single time. This is not an isolated incident or a temporary supply problem. It appears to be a recurring and systemic issue. The store continues to advertise and accept payment for items that include fajita vegetables, yet consistently fails to provide them. At no point has the store marked the item as “out of stock” on the app or informed me prior to pickup. This constitutes false advertising and failure to deliver the product as contractually agreed upon through the mobile ordering platform. When I’ve addressed this with staff, I’ve repeatedly received dismissive responses such as, “They didn’t order enough,” or “It’s not like they cost extra.” These comments suggest an intentional pattern of under-ordering or rationing ingredients to manipulate reported food costs — effectively creating an artificial reduction in inventory expenses. If true, this is a form of internal fraud and misrepresentation of company operations. This issue goes beyond inconvenience; it reflects a breakdown in integrity and accountability at the management level. Chipotle corporate should conduct an immediate audit of ordering and food cost records at this location. Consumers should not be charged for products that are knowingly unavailable, nor should employees or managers be incentivized to conceal such shortages for internal gain. I am requesting corporate review and correction of these practices. If this issue continues, I intend to report it formally to consumer protection authorities for investigation under deceptive trade and business practices statutes. Also, pictured is my meal that I requested “EXTRA” everything on because they consistently give minimal portions.
