- AKAndrew KileJan 23, 20171.0My wife and I had a reservation for a Friday evening at 7pm. We were sat down and literally waited with menus for 8 minutes. We weren't greeted by our waiter and our water glasses remained empty on the table. We felt ignored and not valued as customers. I understand if someone is busy but at least smile as you walk by and say I'll be with you in a minute. I felt like my table didn't exist. None of the stafff made eye contact. It was like I wasn't even there. I felt that this initial interaction or lack there of was an indication of the service we could expect that evening. My wife and I decided to leave, still without being acknowledged by any of the wait staff. As we left the hostess thanked us. I guess she didn't realize that she had sat us under 10 minutes ago and that neither my wife or I had a smile on our face as we were leaving. I won't be going back to Journey and I caution anyone who is thinking about going. I imagine the food is great but I never got a chance to taste it. I figure that maybe going on a weeknight or during non peak hours you could expect decent service. That was not my experience.
