Overall a good place for Kansas City BBQ , Meat was flavorful and of good quality. Counter help was a bit slow at first seemed they were distracted by a larger call in order so it took a while before they took out order . so I would recommend earting there.

We had another great experience at Hawg Jaw BBQ. The service was fast and friendly from the moment we walked in, which always sets the tone for a good meal.
The burnt ends were spot on — perfectly cooked with that rich, smoky flavor and just the right amount of bark. The ribs absolutely delivered on flavor, tender and satisfying without falling apart. And the brisket met every expectation — juicy, flavorful, and done right.
The mac and cheese was a little different from our last visits, but we still enjoyed it overall. It’s nice to see a place keep things interesting while staying true to what they do best.
Hawg Jaw continues to be a solid go-to for quality BBQ. We’ll definitely be back.

Hawg Jaws has been our favorite BBQ. It never disappoints us. My husband was in the hospital and he wanted his favorite sandwich of burnt ends and their beans. I tried the smoked ham and turkey. It was phenomenal. Another of my favorite is the sweet potato fries. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. You are truly missing out if you don't give it a try!
I tried the ribs, sausage, beans, onion rings, and wontons while I was there. My wife as had a pulled pork sandwich. Onion rings were fine. Sausage and beans were cooked okay just wasn't to my taste. I don't fault the restaurant because I don't like the taste of something. The wontons were disappointing because they tasted good but were way over cooked. The ribs were awful. Not fall of the bone, no competition pull, they were crunchy. Like put in the corner of the smoker to keep warm for multiple hours dried up and crunchy. Honestly I should have gone back to the counter and asked for something else or a refund but didn't want to be that guy that day. Was just trying to have a quiet meal with my wife since the kids were off other places. Kitchen knew what they were serving up that day and apparently didn't care much about the quality they were handing out. Wife said her pulled pork was okay.
Dinning area was small but it was clean.
Kansas City is known for its barbecue, and Hawg Jaw absolutely earns its place among the best BBQ joints in town. From the first bite, it’s clear they take their craft seriously—smoke, seasoning, and execution are all on point.
We tried a great spread: brisket, burnt ends, pulled pork, and the Irish Hawg sandwich, plus sides of beans, onion rings, and slaw. The brisket was tender and smoky with a beautiful bark, while the burnt ends were rich, caramelized, and packed with flavor—the kind you hope for when ordering in KC. The pulled pork was juicy and well-seasoned, perfect on its own or with sauce.
The Irish Hawg sandwich was a standout—hearty, creative, and loaded with flavor, making it a must-order if you want something a little different. On the side, the beans were savory and comforting, the onion rings were crisp and golden, and the slaw added a nice, fresh contrast to the smoked meats.
Hawg Jaw delivers everything you want from a top-tier Kansas City barbecue spot: great meat, solid sides, and bold flavors. If you’re craving true KC BBQ, this place belongs at the top of your list.
