WOW. Okay. Listen. Steak frites = unreal. Like… why was it that good?? Steak nailed it. Fries CRONCHY. I’m emotional. Justin Cab?? Dangerous. Smooth. Had me nodding like “yeahhh that makes sense.” Service flawless. Me? Not flawless. Would 100% order this again. Possibly right now. 🥩🍷

First timer, lunch with grandpa, he recommended it, had the brisket sandwich and salad. Extremely pleased with the food and service. I hope they come towards the Olathe area. I'd love to open up one. Totally loved the store side. Picked me up a few things.

Caleb and Glen did an outstanding job. Love the atmosphere, very cozy and welcoming. Got a prime KC strip from the butcher counter. Perfect medium rare cook! Side of fries and mushrooms, shared with two people - plenty of food!! Amazing meal and wonderful service! We can’t wait to come back.

HORRIBLE Customer Service. Placed an order for Prime Rib for 10 people, 8 days prior to New Year's Eve. Gave my number and date of arrival for pick up at 2:00 p.m. New Year's Eve. I even asked if they would be open for pick up. The butcher stated yes. I even left that day with several purchased items. We decided to have it deboned. Imagine my surprise when arriving New Year's Eve at 2:00 p.m. and there was no order to be found. I dealt with the same person as when I placed the order. You could tell by the expression on his face he remembered me. No apology. No remorse at all. I exclaimed, "You have lost a customer." The reply back was, "Oh well." That's NOT the worst part of this scenario. Leaving without a Prime Rib that was supposed to be served at 6:00 p.m. for 10 is bad enough. However, the 2nd butcher, who I had absolutely no contact with shouted out as I was leaving, "Have a Happy New Year!" Really? No contact with this person and he interjects that slogan. I turned around and stated a comment witnessing him smirking the entire time. He proceeded to make more comments. I am absolutely floored by the rudeness, the lack of care and most of all, the customer service between both of these men. No words............

On the Friday night after Christmas, this was the only place in the neighborhood without a 30-minute wait. A shame, because this is a South Plaza gem, and we had a true 5-star meal that stacks up against anything in KC. It doesn't even look like a restaurant from the outside, as it says "Butcher Shop and Wine Bar," but the menu boasts an array of options including anything you can find in the butcher shop prepared fresh. We started with the Brussels sprouts which were divine, sweet and salty and cooked to perfection, and the chicken wings, grill marks outside and soft chew inside with a delightful peanut sauce (that also went with the sprouts) and a creative bleu cheese slaw that worked surprisingly well. For entrees we had the brisket grilled cheese, which according to my friend was "fantastic," and I had the wagyu burger which was well-appointed with mushrooms and guyere. The parmesan fries that accompanied both were thick-cut and evoked nostalgia. We were too full to order dessert, but we did order a cocktail which had the prefect touch of sweetness and is the only cocktail I've seen made with KC's own Rieger whiskey. The bartenders and waitstaff were superb, attentive, friendly, informative. Food came out quickly. My compliments to the service staff. Overall an excellent dining experience.
