This was my 4th visit in about 8 years, and unfortunately the 2nd time I’ve had a disappointing experience with a server. Last night I took my fiancé here for the first time to celebrate his birthday, and our waitress, Cindy, started off pleasant. However, I immediately noticed a shift in her attitude after I simply asked the price of a champagne bottle. Cost wasn’t an issue—I’m just more of a cocktail drinker and didn’t know the pricing.
As the evening went on, the lack of engagement became very noticeable. When taking our order, she never made eye contact, offered suggestions, or seemed interested. We both ordered medium filets, and I added a lobster tail. The tail never arrived, and by the time I mentioned it, my meal was almost gone. I politely asked her to cancel it. She later returned asking if my fiancé ordered lobster mac—which he didn’t. This felt like a result of not being attentive or connected to our table.
After we ordered dessert, I asked for the check because it was taking a long time to see her again. Her response was sarcastic and dismissive, as if she couldn’t wait for us to leave, despite us never being rude or upset about the earlier mistake. When she brought the check, she didn’t leave a pen and walked away quickly. At that point, we decided to just go. As we walked out, she ran after us as if we hadn’t paid, asking for a signature. I still remained polite and left a $30 tip.
Just something to be aware of regarding the level of service you may receive here. The food was great, the atmosphere was nice, and I do want to thank the manager who stopped by to say hello and chat—she was wonderful, a proud Sagittarius, and “not 50 yet,” as she shared. I appreciated her energy and hospitality.
I can’t say enough about the food & the service. Absolutely AMAZING!!! Whittney our waiter was one of the best we’ve had.
I cannot recommend McCormick & Schmick's Seafood & Steaks on the Country Club Plaza highly enough. My girlfriend and I dined there last night, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. The moment we were seated, it was clear we were in capable hands. Patrick, our server, delivered hospitality of the highest caliber—attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable without pretense, and effortlessly gracious throughout the evening.
My girlfriend ordered the swordfish casino, I ordered the wagyu steak frites, and mon Dieu—these were truly life-altering entrées. Her swordfish was cooked so perfectly it practically deserved a standing ovation en solo. My wagyu? It melted in my mouth like it had somewhere better to be. And the steak frites were so magnificent I boxed them up to savor later—un petit trésor for the road.
The evening concluded with the famed dark chocolate bag for two—an indulgence my girlfriend has praised for years, and one that exceeded even her glowing recollections. Though I am not typically drawn to chocolate, mousse, or berries, this dessert was nothing short of revelatory. The chocolate was elegant and nuanced, the mousse impossibly smooth and elevated, and the berries tasted as though they had been chosen individually at the peak of perfection.
Unfortunately, my Pembroke Welsh corgi had her own ideas about how the night should end. The moment I walked through the door, she launched a precise aerial maneuver, knocked the leftover box from my hands, and devoured the contents before I could intervene. On the bright side, she clearly possesses the same appreciation for fine dining as her owner.
Patrick’s professionalism and warmth were the final touches that made the evening exceptional, and the ambiance of the restaurant complemented the experience beautifully.
500,000 stars. I would return tomorrow without hesitation—though the corgi, for everyone’s sake, will remain at home.

We enjoyed our visit. Good eats with great service. A bit pricey but all good.

One of my favorite places. Good food for celebrations, great price for every day. Healthy options like soup, salad, and ice cream. President Ronald Reagan said ice cream was a “nutritious and wholesome food.” Designated July as National Ice Cream Month and the third Sunday of July as National Ice Cream Day in 1984. He signed Presidential Proclamation 5219, which honored the treat for its popularity and the American dairy industry's economic contributions. I have a membership card for $25 gift certificates on my birthday, and points for cash off on meals.
