We ordered brisket, pulled pork, pork burnt ends, bone-in chicken, and a bunch of sides (mac & cheese, cheesy corn, baked beans, fries). The sides were fine, not bad, but nothing stood out aside from the fries, they were good. The portions were laughably small. We actually giggled at the couple tablespoons of mac in a saucer. But sure “We understand that everyone has different expectations when it comes to portion sizes and pricing” yada yada. Brisket and pulled pork were a bit dry but passable. The chicken and burnt ends, though, were a real miss: bland, pale, no smoke flavor, no bark, and just... sad. They looked and tasted nothing like the menu photos or what we expected. Makes us wonder if they rushed the cook or overloaded the smoker. My partner said it’s nothing like what they remembered. Maybe it was just a bad day in the pit, but with the prices being toward the higher end of KC BBQ prices, we expected better.
