11/29/25.
At 6 PM tonight, I attempted to order online just two normal pizzas. Nothing specialty nothing crazy. Trying to take advantage of the 50% off special that Domino's is running for a while. However, their website would not complete the order. No big deal, I figured I would just call and order it directly like I've done before. So I call, get a call center and I leave my order for the person on the phone, she says the discount is only for online purchases but she offers to give it to me anyway because their system is down. They say it's gonna take about 15 to 20 minutes to make the pizzas.
By the time I get to the restaurant, they've had 30 minutes to make the pizzas but they tell me they're not done yet, so I calmly sit down and wait. 20 minutes later I ask the man running the register how close my pizzas might be to being finished, and he looks up my order but cannot find one. All he finds are six duplicate orders that are incomplete and unmade - these are from my unsuccessful order attempts on the website. They cannot find the order that I made when I talked to someone on the phone. Instead of asking me if I wanted them to make my pizzas, he just starts talking to the next person in line. After they're done, I say "well can you please make my pizzas?" He looks surprised and says "oh yeah sure" and I give him my order. He quotes me a more expensive price than the 50% off - when I ask him about that he says the discount is only for online orders. I reiterate that I attempted to order online, which he can see, and because of that and the fact that I've been waiting for 20 minutes for an order that they don't even have, I feel like they can give me the 50% off. Even the call center was going to give me the discount. He says he cannot do that, so he asked his manager if she can go ahead and do that. She is working the Pizza line and just yells out "No." And that's that. After all my wasted time, they still wouldn't give me the discount that I would've gotten online or from their call center (or give it to me free, which I would have done if I was the business owner). So, because I still would have had to wait 20 more minutes for two pizzas that were more expensive than my initial order, I walked away empty handed and pissed off.
Highly I recommend. It's a shame because I've been coming here for 16 years and am more likely to talk badly of this place because of this one terrible interaction. That manager should be written up, at the very least.
The man did apologize that they lost the orders and tried to use the "we are short staffed" excuse - buddy, I own a business. If you're short staffed, it's not the customer's problem. It's yours.
