  My family and I visited J. Gilbert's for the first time on 3/20. It was our first time and we were there to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. The food was fantastic. I got the short rib gnocchi and I still say it was the best thing I've ever eaten in my life. Truly chef's kiss. My husband and two teenage sons had steak and my 10 year old had the crab cakes. They all but licked the plates clean. But this is more about the service. Our server was named Frank, which was ironic and bittersweet because that was my father-in-law's name and he recently passed away, this was her first birthday without him. Frank was a phenomenal server - efficient, thoughtful, and attentive. I truly believe he went the extra mile for our family but I also saw him treat each of his guests in a similar manner. I am very thankful for Frank for making her birthday dinner a good memory despite of the bittersweet day.

  Outstanding!! We were in West County Mall, searched for a steakhouse, best reviews were J. Gilbert’s. Where? It was 350 feet from me! Went in. Filet for me. Seafood for my wife. Among the best ever; every bite! And Raven was such a great server, made good suggestions; very pleasant help. Thanks to everyone at J. Gilbert’s. 🙏🏻😋

  My favorite place didn’t hit the same last night. 😭 My filet was great, but my sides weren’t good. The Au Gratin potatoes were dry and the corn wasn’t cooked throughly. I was disappointed because I went for my birthday. I’ll try them again! Please print back the lobster macaroni.

  I recently had a dinner for work with a fairly large group of people from one of my accounts. The process of finding a time, booking the location and ensuring the room would be setup in the way I needed was extremely easy. During the dinner we had Becca, who was absolutely fantastic during the entire dinner. She made sure everyone was attended to and that there were no gaps or awkwardness between courses. Overall, the food, service and vibes were fantastic.

  Of all the times we have come here, this was definitely the best experience we have had! Monica was so great and attentive. She constantly made sure we had everything we needed and was such a lovely person. The food was delicious. The only thing that could have made the experience even better was by was having the Shrimp Durango on the menu. Everything was spectacular and we look forward to our next visit!
