Last night on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, I made an order from Sonic on Doordash. I placed the order around 9:25 pm. When I placed the order, it said there was 5 minutes left to order from this store. So obviously, the cutoff time for Doordash orders was at 9:30. The food was scheduled to arrive at my house between 9:40-9:50. I noticed the time kept getting pushed back and wondered what was going. I checked the order progress and it said the dasher was waiting at Sonic to pick up my order, but on the map she was somewhere else entirely. Then I noticed she had messaged me and said that she arrived at the Sonic at 9:33 pm and they had told her they had canceled my order and they were closed, so she couldn't pick it up. But the order was not showing as canceled on my end. The dasher said it wasn't on her end either. It kept showing as an active order. I went on Google to check their store hours, and according to that, they close at 9 pm on Thursdays. So they close at 9, but have their Doordash set to accept hours until 9:30. That makes a lot of sense. I tried calling, but immediately got a busy signal. I assumed this was because they were already closed. They told the dasher they canceled the order, but obviously they didn't do what they needed for that to happen either. I guess the dasher was finally able to drop the order, and then it proceeded to get reassigned to about half a dozen dashers over the next couple hours, all of which were unable to complete it because the Sonic was closed. I tried to cancel the order myself but the app said if I canceled while a dasher was assigned to it, I would not be able to get a refund. Finally, after 11 pm, I checked again and it didn't currently have a dasher assigned to it, so I was able to cancel it and a refund was issued for the Doordash fees, but not the cost that went to Sonic. Today, I tried to call this Sonic location for some clarity and to resolve this issue, and was met with a busy signal every time at all hours of the day. So evidently they have their phone off the hook or something. I was able to contact Doordash customer service and they said the remaining amount of my refund will be seen in my account within 3 days, so that was a misunderstanding on my part, but this location has incorrect store hours, incompetence with working Doordash, and is impossible to contact. I love Sonic, but don't think I'll be ordering from this location again
