I really wish all the managers of restaurants would tell their employees to wash their hands with soap thoroughly after putting on perfume or after shave. That should take care of the problem. And it’s definitely not just you Panera, at one time or another you come across that from other restaurants like McDonalds every Sunday, like Cracker Barrel with takeout orders. If you don’t give them step-by-step instructions on how to make your food, they’ll get it wrong and argue with you about it like it’s your fault. There’s a real level of disgust for how the employees treat customers. It’s as if basic courtesy and respect don’t exist in this location. The overall attitude is unprofessional, unwelcoming, and downright disrespectful. Management clearly isn’t doing anything to correct it, and it shows — the environment feels hostile instead of friendly. The food deserves 4 stars, but the service deserves to be rated in the negatives if that were possible.
