Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

So far they have been hit or miss but the last time I went. I got food poisoning. I do have a sensitive stomach though but that last visit was rough.

There was not enough room to sit down to eat. We along with several other had to sit in our car and eat our food. We are in a tourist town and tourist like to sit down and eat.

Drive up thinking place was closed cuz no one is here, go to drive thru and wait, and wait, and wait. So I think maybe they are closed?? Go inside and sure enough they are open. I ask if someone is working the drive thru and of course they are shocked and say there is. So I go back thru and wait again, finally… someone answers the drive thru and now I’m waiting behind cars. Get it together manager of Whataburger.

I tried the Buffalo ranch chicken tenders sandwich . For the most part it was ok .. but it lacked Buffalo sauce . It appeared to be drizzled on . But barely. It was so light it hardly taste like buffalo and more like a chicken ranch sandwich . The fries were cold . Service was good and quick .

We had our order taken by Shauna who was very helpful with the menu and a wonderful person to talk to. She checked on us multiple times throughout our dine in experience. My wife has been to other Whataburgers and always had a bad experience but with the great service and the food that was straight off the grill it tasted like, we only wish we lived nearby so we could come visit again. This store renewed my faith in Whataburger.
