  Since the parking lot was empty, I expected the server to be happy to have customers, but in this case, they were not. Yes, we came as a church group, and I thought someone from our church would have called and informed them of our visit, but I also believed they should have expected a possible crowd from the play, David. As I stated before, the parking lot was empty, so we all thought we had a good chance of sitting together, but we were all split up throughout the big, open floor plan. Our server didn't have a welcoming spirit at first, but I truly believe management had a talk with him, and he later came with a smile. I worked as a waitress many years ago in different cities and states. I NEVER would have not opened with a smile, unless it was 2 minutes before closing, then my face frowned. I will NOT return!

  Very nice and food was fresh. At first, was a bit aggravated that the breakfast bar was mostly lunch menu and salad items. What I came for was "out" so started with a few remaining breakfast items. When our waitress came by our table, I was able to express the disappointment to her. She returned from the kitchen with a plate containing the missing food items. Thought that was very nice and "above and beyond" her duties to do that for me. Atmosphere was pleasant and overall a great experience. Price was reasonable and bit lower than I was expecting.

  It's a quick and easy place to feed a large family.. the bar doesnt have options for gluten free kids, other than some soggy fruit.. our tables and silverware was still dirty.

  Went in party of 5 waited 15 minutes the front end lady bussing table getting drinks. Didn't even acknowledge we were even standing there waiting. No Ill be right there no good morning Ill get you seated nothing. So we went across the street all you can eat buffet 3 dollars cheaper. We will never return to this location the staff don't care if you are there or not !

  My husband and I showed up to get a table for 6 adults and 3 children. The hostess acted like we were inconveniencing her by having to get a table ready. The rest of our party had not arrived yet and we explained that they were heading that way and were just across the street. We were told that we could not be seated until our full party arrived and when my husband questioned why we weren't able to sit and have coffee, the waitress asked why the hostility. He said there is no hostility. We would just like to sit and drink coffee before the rest of our family arrive. She didn't like that answer and so we told her that we would go somewhere else. And we walked out and went across the street and had a great breakfast at the Grand country buffet. We hadn't eaten at shoney's in years and we were looking forward to it. We were sadly disappointed. This visit was on Sunday, October 26th at approximately 9:00 a.m..
