  Not sure why I came here as a vegetarian! I was with meat-eaters and wanted to make it easy. There is one option on the menu for vegetarians- a side garden salad. I stupidly ate several French fries even though they tasted like meat and found out there is beef tallow in the frying oil. I ensured there was no meat on the side salad, you’d think the cashier would have mentioned something about the fries or it would be delineated on the menu. The house dressing was good. But don’t plan on returning.

  Italian Beef with sweet and hot peppers, and mozzarella cheese. Remember to get the sauce on side and dip sandwich as you eat it for the best palate' experience. The burgers are awesome

  What an amazing 1st experience! In the drive thru I asked for a moment to look over the menu as it was my first time there and he said “no problem, just let me know if you have any questions”. Which I did, & then placed my order & drove to the first window to pay where he then gave me my change (which included an extra penny) (50 cents vs 49) he also gave me a coupon for a free sandwich saying “Since this is your first visit, we would like to invite you back.” WOW!! I then drove to the 2nd window to pickup my order & he handed me an extra large bag saying he heard it was my 1st visit so he gave a Free (Huge) piece of their chocolate cake!! What? Double Wow!! Food was delicious especially with all the unexpected extras!! Thank you for your exceptional service and I look forward to Many more visits!!

  Positive experience while visiting Portillo’s in Woodbury from out of town! The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in, and the service was quick and efficient. The food was fresh, hot, tasty and definitely hit the spot. Crinkle fries are my favorite. You can tell they take pride in both their customer service and quality. I’ll definitely be coming back when in the area again.

  I love the Portillo’s made the move to Minnesota from Chicago after 15 years of morning their service here. However, there are time beefs are made in the same fashion as it would be made in Chicago. Don't get me wrong. They're good, but they lack on me and I have to pretty much instruct them on how to make a proper Italian beef, you get more bread than you do meat. Always have to ask for extra meat on the side or extra au jus. Which is an extra charge on top of a $15 sandwich. I don't blame the workers though because they aren't Chicago natives and don't know how to originally make such a legendary & iconic Chicago staple
