I visited TopGolf Woodbury on Jan. 8th and the experience was okay, but it missed the mark. The tee couldn’t be adjusted and the ball return isn’t automated like at LaunchPad in Shakopee. Food was hit-or-miss—steak tacos were great, but the boneless wings looked like they’d been sitting under a heat lamp and the sauce was dried out. I asked for extra ranch and only received one per tray. (NOT A BIG DEAL)
My drink (Patron No. 20) was very good and my server Cheryl was friendly. Games were decent, but I wish there were more competitive options like LaunchPad’s bay-vs-bay mode.
Overall, not a bad visit, but LaunchPad clearly offered better food, service, and gameplay. I’d make the 30-minute drive back to LaunchPad before returning to TopGolf Woodbury.

So this was my first experience at any top golf, and what I learned is that this isn't the original top golf experience, instead its some greedy corporate watered down version of Top Golf that uses cameras to attempt to track your ball vs having tech inside each ball and sensors to track exactly where the ball is. This becomes an issue here in Minnesota where we have snow for half the season and here is why... What color are the golf balls?? WHITE! What color is snow?? ALSO WHITE! Yep, you can probably see where im heading with this review.. the cameras simply cannot track the balls. This may depend on where your bay is located but I was drilling ball after ball right down center and it didnt recognize a single one. I felt bad doing it but I had to have our server bring over her manager to show her what was happening. I hit at least 10 balls in a row, smacking em down center, doesn't get much easier to track, and it didnt register that I even hit the ball once except for a few times when it would give me a 0 even though I was in a target.. To say I was frustrated is an understatement. The Manager did give our group half off our experience but it still left a bad taste in my mouth about TG. The staff mostly said something along this line "its cause its cameras and they cant see the ball when its snowing" and also "Our management is based in Texas and doesn't understand how our climate changes the experience". But everyone just made me feel like I was the crazy one.. I am going to have to try the Brooklyn Park one now cause the games are fun and they really level the playing field for those who have never golfed before.

Spent New Year's Eve at Top Golf. The the food was tasty but the tots were cold before they arrived. The mocktails were delicious and service was fine. The golfing was fun! However the heating situation is completely unacceptable. As many other reviews stated it was FREEZING. I asked the server if there was more heat (cuz hey you never know if one more person complaining might just prompt someone to question management about the heat?) She said "yeeeeaaah it's cold. your knobs are are over there and looks like yours just shut off" She made no effort and gave no indication on which knobs where which. It made me feel like I shouldn't really be 'messing' with them but when the neighbors left I went over and turned on the 3rd heater! It was 9 degrees--6 when we left!! The heaters only made the situation slightly tolerable. You hit 5 balls each round; that takes 2-3 minutes. Your hands are burning cold by the time you are done...or you are golfing in gloves and winter jackets. I couldn't believe even the inside bar area was nearly as cold! It had to have been less than 50 degrees inside--there was NO rush of heat or relief when entering the building. I felt so bad for all of the workers. I always give a new business grace when starting out but it's clear that this was not an unfortunate technical issue this is how management is choosing to operate their business. I would definitely go back in warmer temps but do not recommend you visit unless the temps are 30+. The website claim "Enjoy year-round comfort in our hitting bays with cooling fans in the summer and heated bays in the winter" is completely false.

New years eve, reserved day ahead and they gave us the bottom deck, got there 2 hrs early and asked for a 2nd or 3rd level. They said it could be 3 hrs.
Yet people were leaving because it was downright cold.we stayed with the ASSIGNED lower.
Bottom level heaters did nothing, now yes its winter and it was cold out so I expected to be cold while golfing. But sitting at the tables was uncomfortable. We quit after 30 minutes of the 2hrs.
The bar areas were all cold and that's inside. Waitresses were all bundled up and you could see they were cold.
We checked out the other levels and there's areas that are much warmer. However we were pushed away. I said we were just checking it out for future reservations. Staff admitted the lower level heaters are colder. I assumed the bar areas would at least be warm or sitting under the heaters would do something. Drove 3 hrs for the experience and very disappointed. Staff even though they were freezing were great. Even the check in counter they were cold. You may want to invest in some heaters for your staff or you won't retain them let alone the customers. No reason the inside is 20 degrees

⭐ 1/5 – Worst New Year’s Experience
We booked a 2-hour slot at Topgolf Woodbury to celebrate New Year with a group of friends, and it turned out to be a complete disaster, mainly due to seating and temperature issues.
There was no proper seating available for our group, no working heaters, and the cold was unbearable. Half of our group ended up with frostbite, and none of us were even able to properly play despite having a confirmed booking. Instead of enjoying the game, we were just trying to survive the freezing conditions.
Because of this, we were forced to cut our 2-hour reservation down to just 1 hour and check out early, which completely ruined our New Year celebration.
The only positive part of the entire experience was Howard, the staff member who welcomed us. He was professional, helpful, and genuinely tried his best to assist us despite the situation.
Other than that, this was one of the worst experiences we’ve had, and I would not recommend Topgolf Woodbury to anyone, especially during winter or for special occasions.
