Once our waitress came, we ordered drinks and proceeded to wait again without receiving said drinks. Ultimately ended up leaving. Was so excited to finally try Buca. Very disappointing..

I visited on a Saturday night for dinner, and the restaurant was nearly empty, with only one other table occupied, which felt odd. We ordered the frutti di mare pasta, and it was a poor choice. The dish was bland. We had to add our own salt, pepper, and chili flakes just to make it palatable. The calamari and squid were chewy, and one of the shrimp still had its shell on. The mussels were the most concerning part of the meal. Out of 13 mussels, only 8 were edible. The 5 remaining mussels were still closed, which we didn’t notice until we were packing up leftovers. When I mentioned this, the waitress said she didn’t know what that meant, so I explained that closed mussels are not safe to eat. Before we even got home, both my partner and I experienced stomach discomfort. I threw away the leftovers due to concerns about food safety. It is now a feel hours since leaving the restaraunt and my stomach hurts. Additionally, similar to other reviews from minority patrons, I felt somewhat judged by the waitress. I’m not sure if it was intentional, but it made the experience uncomfortable. Overall, a disappointing experience. I regret spending money here and hope this helps others make a more informed choice.
